Russia will go full Chechnya on any guerrilla war. The rules of the West will not apply. It will be bloody, but they will still succeed. But it will be costly.
It is Ukraines best chance though.

Can Australia use the Putin reasoning and claim Whistler, Canada, and West London as Australian sovereign territories?
Yep. The biggest issue will be the complete air superiority that Russia will quickly have. Ukraine have a sizable military in terms of ground forces, but it’s exceedingly tough if every move is seen and attacked from above.
Starting to think we should drop the siren from our pre-game routine. I’ve never minded it & liked having some type of identity but when you see it used like this (as it was originally intended) its absolutely terrifying.
Also, anyone that thinks there isnt a small, but highly specialised Western presence in Ukraine right now is perhaps a bit misguided
Always wondered how WW2/ Vietnam Vets would feel about that being used.
Yep, agreed. Loved it when we first used it, but discretion should dictate that we drop it at least for now.
Hard to watch footage like this.
The UK - and possibly a few others - sent Special Forces to teach Ukrainian armed forces how to use specific equipment, but I’ve no idea if they’re still there.
I think I read that these units were pulled back a week or so ago.
Talk at one point of intelligence sharing from US to Ukrainian units, but unsure if that got fully implemented before it all went pear shaped.

Ukraine will have plenty of Surface to air defenses won’t they? it’ll be the russian surface to surface weapons both artillery and missile that’ll be the concern, not to mention their tanks should they commit to occupation in full.
Is it wrong of me to watch these videos with absolute scepticism? With all the misinformation floating around I find it almost impossible to believe what I am seeing.
In 2013 Ukrainian President Yanukovych, tried to cut ties with the European Union and partner with Russia.
But pro-democratic activists attempted to overthrow the President, who retreated to Russia.
Since then, there has been a huge divide between pro-Democratic and pro-Russian Ukrainians.
Putin is now using his propaganda to say that the Pro-Russian population are being slaughtered…… and they must intervene.
If this helps.
Other ones
Reports coming out of Donbas is that Ukrainian forces are retreating.*
*this could be misinformation, hard to tell atm.

Military arms pre sales specialists.
Coca Cola vending machines?
Maccas?
Not at all.
I live in Europe (for honesty’s sake I’m in Australia now but due to fly back in a couple of weeks) so I’ve been on edge about this for a while. I’ve got a few tabs open at the moment following this but I really should be working on my semester paper.
There are a lot of attention seekers, propaganda outlets and journos trying to get the jump on this out there that make things hard to believe. A lot of the footage going viral has natural lighting inconsistent with the time of day over there, for example.
Just like to say a big To all blitzer posters with Ukrainian family.(and Russian too)
