Dickie Ings on Twitter bemoaning the fact that Crowley, after having an A and a B sample return positives some 6 months ago, and playing 8 matches after he gave that sample, is being (and I quote) "tarred and feathered". And calling on the media to speak with "caution".He is a total bell end, I don’t know how people can’t see this.
Alot of people see it. The ones who don’t are Darli and probably CJohns, though I think CJohns plays him a bit.
boot loves him too.
Quoted PostQuoted PostGee...I cannot believe all the responses here. We’re still going through the ASADA ■■■■ and many (if not all) of us have had to put up with “friends” giving us ■■■■…and hated every minute of it.
As soon as someone from another club is found to have failed a test, you’re all over him acting just like all the “friends” you have been bagging for their reactions.
if, as is being reported, he got the medication from a GP, then he is a fool for not going through the club.
I really don’t think that he is any sort of drug fiend to be lambasted by the media or football followers in general.
So we don’t test positive, get fined, lose our coach for a year and get kicked out of the finals.
Where he tested positive and got to play the rest of the season and the final series.
I think we can give ■■■■ to them.
If the angers at Crowley being able to play finals when we get our coach suspended and kicked out of finals, then direct your anger at the AFL… They’re the fuckwits who let him play
Just so as you know my hate is directed at the AFL. Crowley was stupid but for everything that anyone associated with Essendon copped we should be able to give ■■■■ to people.
I'm intrigued by the timing of this - Asada, AFL and Freo have sat on this for 6 months without a whisper and then news breaks just under a fortnight to go before our hearing.Essendon - cleared at the tribunal for insufficient evidence, Crowley taken to the cleaners by Asada to save face & look relevant perhaps?
Obviously this is my lid off suspicion - I don’t want the worst for Crowley but i am hoping for best case scenario for us!
Or has this saga simply turned me into a suspicious, paranoid, full-of-conspiracies fark wit!?!
Crowley knew better than to ‘self-report’.
If he got a pain killing injection without the club knowing and without the clubs ok, then he is an utter moron. Surely after all the stuff we have been through players would be extra careful about what they are putting into their bodies

This has still yet to be explained?
Was the pain killer administered and approved by a club official or not?
I am sick of ex-players who played before the WADA code calling players stupid, dumb or similar - these ex players never had to worry about what they ingested when playing footy.
Wait for the day when a player/s get a positive and its found to be contaminated food stuffs - Will we still call them stupid ?

There’s been more AFL players found positive and rubbed out under ASDA (pre WADA) than since
I can’t wait until someone on the inner sanctum finally blows the lid of pain killers and they performance enhancing ability on the sport. And then allude to the fact on Brisbane’s tainted premiership
Wait for the day players can only eat synthetic gruel.

Not sure if you are extracting the urine or not, but this has definitely been answered. Fremantle made it clear when they made the announcement on Monday.
Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich addressed the media moments ago, saying the banned substance was "contained in a painkiller". The president said the painkiller was not prescribed by a Fremantle doctorhttp://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-03-16/live-coverage-fremantles-ryan-crowley-tests-positive-to-banned-substance

Rules weren’t as strict under ASDA - And they actually suspended players for taking real PEDS, instead of energy drinks and pain killers.
You don’t think a painkiller would enhance performance?
Can’t wait for the day steak is banned because it fuels, and therefore enhances, an athlete’s performance

Sales of Nutri Grain might go down, too

Food is an enabler.
Ex players who played in an era where they could take what they like and from Matthews who said there were plenty experimenting when he was playing. Now they just snipe from the sidelines.
They do dozens of lectures & classes about PEDs and other drugs. If nothing sunk in to Crowley (or Saad, I guess he’s a slightly less cut and dried case as he’d only been in the league 2 years or so) then it’s on him. No sympathy.

No sympathy.Particularly as our saga was probably entering month 18ish at the time. In the midst of all that, why would you go off site for a jab?
