Season 2019 - GWS

Man, he is NOT worth that much.

The market determined that he was.

Good luck to him…I like seeing players staying at the one club (it’s the old fashioned romantic in me)

i can pick em better than @Aceman

Where does this leave the McGrath/Clug/Taranto debate

I hope this ends up like the 2001 draft. The bloke taken number 1 ended up the best choice

Hawthorn rejected again

I was assured that they would get Whitfield after Conglio knocked them back.

They aren’t a destination club anymore. List being held together by sticky tape and you have to wear brown and yellow. Even Clarkson can’t drag this list into challenging

Their only other big name to sign up now is Jeremy Cameron isn’t it? Geelong were reportedly keen on him to be their post Hawkins key forward IIRC. I think there were reports though that he was likely to recommit to GWS. Hope he does.

the only worry here is that geelong have 3 first round draft picks!

What currency does that hold ?

Cameron signed already…edit WRONG…still OOC 2020 footywire

Hopefully we give Cameron a good reason on field to come to EFC with a good year.
If we can turn JD into JC its a good deal.

We potentially have 2 first rounders if JD Goes.

I cant see us fitting him in salary cap wise if JD Stays.

Yeah spot on. The knowledge of having 3 x First Rounders gives them enormous flexibility and clout to try to target someone. Especially with those interstate sides who have academy picks next year, of which there are plenty apparently. Worst case scenario for them is they take them to the draft and rebuild on the run.
