Season 2024 - Melbourne

From memory they had a period of genuine dominance for about 25-30 weeks. That’s worth a flag

I was disgusted by it. A bunch of young blokes at the office started talking about how players want to be out there etc. I said, ■■■■ that, he was in agony, their medical team and leaders are total ■■■■■■■■ and it was dangerous.

Nope.

“Pinching one” is what will happen this year. No standout team in the top 8.

PTSD. How long does it take to get over it? Maybe years.
Apparently doctors told his GF that Petracca could die on the operating table due to inability to stop loss of blood.

Kate Roffey just gave an interview on SEN… missed the interview but Melbourne fans are going off!!! They are raging against Roffey calling her a disgrace and hopeless - many of them women calling in.

Gerard discussing it now, apparently Roffey blamed the media and put the whole Tracca saga as media driven, lol.

I listened to it, she absolutely crumbled under the pressure.

Essentially said when asked about Petracca sticking to his contract that its not her job to make those statements.

I’d love to hear that interview, hopefully they put it up on the site.

Melbourne’s downfall is one of the few things keeping me interested in football at the moment.

Combined with the poor snow season and Victoria’s new tax on investment properties, it is not a happy time for the nepo babies.

Reportedly she said she hadn’t spoken directly to Petracca, which wouldn’t have gone down well. She is only hearing what she wants to hear.
Also that she is opposed to an independent review.

Interview at bottom.

Wish it was the downfall of a club that actually means something. But it will have to do.

Hard to judge as he’d only played six games prior to that injury, and his career post injury coincided with Geelong’s dominant era starting.

But he was a damn good player after the injury.

Didn’t do me any harm.

Wow that was a painful listen

Granted we’re a basket case on the field and still have a lot of work to do off field, but I have to say it’s a pleasant change to watch a club other than Essendon publicly self-implode.

Whateley has absolutely owned her in this. It’s a train wreck of an interview. LOL!
