I’d take Larkey, Sheezel and Wardlaw in a heartbeat.

I only voted Eddie Ford so clone hirdy wasn’t alone.

Did they not watch the ad about past performance not being a reliable indicator of future performance?

Where is LDU?

I’d like Charlie Comben on that list too. Can play forward and back, strong overhead mark.

My preferences from north would be JHF, Harley Reid and Logan McDonald

They don’t have much of a choice really as they don’t have a big enough supporter base. Too bad, so sad.

lol at the Saints supporter

How much revenue have they been getting out of Tassie? That will probably be hard to fill, and Hawthorn would have a similar issue as well. Clearly you would only sell home games off if it was having a significant impact on your bottom line.

A mate in a FB chat group said the AFL probably should’ve forcibly sent them elsewhere. Basically it’s not your decision, we are moving the team to Gold Coast (obviously that’s prior to the inception of the Suns) or Tassie, as might be the case now.

The AFL doesn’t have the power to ship them off. They can however make some generous offers that they may consider acceptable

$4m a season. It’s actually a lot of cash that won’t simply appear by playing another 4 games in Melbourne

$5m a season for the Hawks

When the Tassie team comes in, they’ll still play games there. Just not as many.
The balance will be sold to NT, GWS or Gold Coast. Similar to what Richmond did before winning became more of a priority.

Where has this been reported?

They will probably leave and find somewhere else

It hasn’t.
But I’d expect 1 (maybe a second) game per team as the Tassie team builds its base over the first few years.
For memory they did the same with Gold Coast.

Oooft. There will be even less people at their games when the new team comes in than before.

The Tassie Govt should have given them the boot immediately.

That’s interesting you’d imagine they would have the power to say move or lose your license
