Really pleased for St Kilda. It would be devastating to get a generational talent only to lose him at 22 yrs just as he breaks out.

Some of the numbers and durations being reported this year in the media regarding deals are ridiculous. I expect most of them are made up by the AFL media pack because they are in a communal drug haze, but if they are even vaguely real supporters would have a right to have the club leaderships not just thrown out, but subject to something significantly worse…..
I know a few Sainters fans, l will check with them, but reckon they would be thrilled at this news. In 2 years time, they might (have to) offer him even more. For now, they have good news and an early Christmas present.

I rate NWM. I do. But I don’t rate him that highly. I don’t even think he’s the sort of player that Adelaide particularly need.

The Saints are under massive pressure now to put together a winning team whilst they have NWM locked in the next years. They can’t afford to regress and be in a rebuild, and they can’t simply tread water as they (and us) have done recently and sit in 8th-12th no-man’s land. They need to get good in a hurry or else he will go at the end of 2027.

And the tricky thing for them is that they could make all these impulsive, ‘for the now’/get good quick decisions based almost entirely around Nas’s presence and yet he could still decide to up and leave in 2 years regardless cos he wants to head home.
They absolutely need to go for it but it could also undo and put out of whack their entire list build.
I’m sure I’ll be mocked, but I’d have Cameron, Thilthorpe, Daicos, Smith, Zerrett (although he’s obviously out of form right now), Bont, Butters…I could go on…
NWM is very good at what he does. He’s a good kick with a good tank, but there are waaaaay more important things to have in a team.
