Genuine question (lol), have you watched the last 2 months of saints’ footy?
He is doing stuff that simply no one else can. Completely turning games on his own. He is in a different stratosphere to Zach Merrett.

I’ve watched his whole career. lol. I drafted him in career Fantasy Footy.
All of the players I mentioned can do things that NWM can’t do, things that I consider to be far more valuable.
I’m not going to be drawn into the position that he’s no good, because that’s ridiculous and simply not what I’m saying.
But there are players, not many but enough, that have a skillset that are far more important as individual players.
Edit: Zerret’s CBC work…I mean… Wanganeen doesn’t have any. Which is fine.

I’m more than happy to engage in proper discussion, which this is not.
Tackles and clearances and contested possessions are things that Zerrett is clearly, clearly better than NWM at.
NWM is the best in the league at what he does. If you rate what he does as the most important skillset in the league, then…fine?

I’m just having fun. I think simply if you went around to oppo supporters and said you’d want Zach Merrett over NWM (not even factoring in age and runway) you would get laughed at by everyone you said that in front of as a one-eyed supporter.

Kicked a great goal last weekend.

Probably gets more bums on seats at the footy.
Chics get wet over the stuff he does on field.
Had to pay overs to keep him on a short deal. Seems desperate.
he’s been enjoyable to watch and hope he keeps up the high standard. Genuinely. Deserves a blitz medal for his role in the death ride. But can also think of a few who got great deals on the back of a hot streak and ended up being middling at best.
Might be where a short deal comes in handy but honestly he is probably the best player atm.

Good on the Saints for getting the deal done. Thats massive for them. He’s the hottest player in the league at the moment. Daicos isnt worthy of cleaning Nas’ jocks.
Used to be where were you when Kennedy was shot, or when Princess Diana was killed in a car crash, now its where were you when NWM re signed.
