We’ve known this stuff for years, the only reason the story is relevent is because another player has died as a result. I think the timing of the story if the only way people can be held to account for it.
AFL knew and the got out the broom. AFL media were not much better. They all wanted successful interstate teams to make it truly national.
WEagles drug culture exposed once more to the bright light of MSM. Worsfold exposed again as a sham posing as a coach. How many more of the players from that era are in danger? I suspect that there are a few more, that we haven’t heard of yet. WEagle drug culture is rife, AFL remains silent, lest shade be cast on WEagle cups.

West Coast star Tim Kelly concedes he has fallen out of love with footy in recent years, as he heads into 2025 without a contract for next year, and without negotiations for a new deal having begun.
Asked about his future ahead of the Indigenous All-Stars game, Kelly said: “It is probably something that’ll work itself out, my manager (Anthony Van Der Wielen) works pretty hard in that space.
“To be honest, for me it’s about honing in on what I’ve got to do, get my body right … my love of the game hasn’t been great over the last couple of years.
“There’s a lot of contract talk and this and that but I’m just trying to love the game again. And hopefully that comes.”
With just 10 wins over the last few seasons it has been difficult for Kelly to find joy in the game.
“It’s been a tough few years and I’m not the only one. Everyone here has been working really hard and not getting much reward,” Kelly said.
“It’s been frustrating to say the least but it’s got to turn around eventually so we’ll see how we go.
“Again, I’m not even really thinking about it (my contract).
“You probably think you probably are but I’m actually not. I’m just trying to get my body right and get back to having fun.”
No surprise really…it took him years to get the big break.
Lucks out by being picked up by Geelong but then returns home due to the need for family support.
Admittedly got a nice contract but it just proves that money doesn’t buy happiness.
I wonder whether part of him would regret leaving the Cats. I know he had some off field motivating factors obviously.
Watch him walk back to the cats for a song.
Cry me a river Tim… you made your bed…
Now you know how much I loathe, hate, detest etc etc the eagles…
But Kelly came home because two of his kids have autism and they had no family support in Victoria.
So I do have some empathy for his position,
Even allowing for that, he could’ve chosen the Dockers. Blind Freddy could see the cliff was coming for the Eagles…
Breaking news: Man doesn’t enjoy his job
Shocked!
Sounds like his complaint coincides with the WEagles fall down the ladder. Could it be the two things are related? Nah, couldn’t be anything as obvious as that. His comment goes directly to their culture.
He and Barry Cable can compare notes
From inside the same cell.
Local club he signed for has cut ties with him.
The twins?
Wow, might even get Harley Reid for nothing, West Coast fans turning on him.
They’ll turn on him until he wins them a game off his own boot at some point this season, after which they’ll cherish the ground he walks on again.
