Tbh I’m scared of what his mum would say if she found out.
I know
Tbh I'm scared of what his mum would say if she found out.Think of the positives, you could compare cardigans and knitting patterns and jam recipes and all other sort of old lady stuff.
Hahahaha. So true!
Have any of you blokes ever dated a girl 10 years older than you?
Mrs pilgrim is 8 years older, we’ve been together for nearly 20 years.
15 of those have been fantastic, the last 5 have been ok, that’s nothing to do with the age gap though.

Nyet. 10 years older is preferable to 10 years younger imo.
One year older is the most l have dated.
Have any of you blokes ever dated a girl 10 years older than you? It's not up to anyone else. If you want to date a girl 10 years older than you, go for it Em.
Or even date a boy 10 years older if you like …
The mother of my children is 8 years older
do what ever you want.
People don’t really care that much what you do, their more interested in themselves.
I’ll preface this first by saying that it’s only at dating stage but:
The only issue I would see is if you wanted kids. Would you both be at an age that that would /could be an option?
I, cough, temporarily interacted with a woman who was 25 years older than me at the time.Older girls know stuff.
Being in your 50s sounds like fun.
I’ve seen a few relationships like this.
Some have worked very well.
Others the older guy thinks of himself as a father figure and thinks he has to mentor the younger partner. This often results in patronising or controlling behaviour. I’ve seen very strong independent women going into relationships with older men becoming insecure and withdrawn. The older guy didn’t know he was doing it, but he was talking to her like a child - a little at first, then more and more - and after years that got to her leaving her a shell. It’s a fine line between feeling protective and being controlling.
But then again, I’ve seen guys the same age as their partner guilty of the same thing. Do what you feel I reckon.
At Uni the lads used to go to Over 28s at some club in the eastern suburbs. We called it ‘grab a granny’ and no one ever paid for a drink.
Seemed so salacious at the time, maybe i was too early to judge.

Mitzy’s on Bay Street in Brighton by any chance?
I have vague recollections of a place called ‘Oscars’. No idea where it was. Maybe even near Doncaster shopping centre?
I’m not a granny
High Society (up on top of Donnie Shopping Town)? I went to uni with a bloke who was a promoter for the place and supplied us with endless drink-cards. Some of the women in there were truly frightening, and not shy about coming forward. More leopard-print outfits than you could poke a stick at…
You haven’t lived until you’ve done Daiseys over 28’s in Ringwood…

I’m gonna go with that must make you at least 28 otherwise surely someone who knwos you better would have made fun of you wanting to date a 17 yr old.
on the question, do what makes you happy, there’s good reasons about it, bad reasons, and ultimately you won’t know which fit you and your situation until you try.
Like anything really, just be weary of the pitfalls and be honest, all else is irrelevant.
