Anyone over 27 will not be part of our next Premiership. We are five years away if we’re lucky. So move them on now and invest in youth under a new Recruiting Team
WE MUST
Find a Harry McKay type Key Foward
Hope Zach Reid can be an elite CHB
Pray Cox can put some size on and become a Key Forward (he is not a winger for god sake)
Recruit a dynamic, big bodied contested beast a la Cripps/Danger
Find a replacement for AMT
Remove anyone from the squad not prepared to die for the jumper.
Hope Harry Jones can develop into a Fritsch style medium sized Forward
These are Everton fans who walked out after 30-odd minutes in the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park last year. All the things they say about their club and players you could easily say about us right now…
This has been bandied about with abandon this year.
When I hear “blue collar” I think of hard-working folks earning low wages, living hand-to-mouth and scrapping for everything.
We are the absolute antithesis of blue collar, full of people stealing a living at all levels, on and off field.
If our club was an employee, we’d be a Project Manager. A fat priick who knows fark-all about fark-all, who spends his days gobbling-off the top brass, putting together pretty powerpoint presentations, crapping on about “metrics”, “shifting the paradigm” and “eating the elephant in bite-sized chunks” and leeching off the hard-work of others.
Should have seen the walk out at 3qr time v Geelong in around 1.
Genuinly 20k+ Essendons fans departed the stadium and it was as if its normal, it felt normal, ah well Essendon have sh-t the bed in a big game at the MCG not worth hanging around.
Never seen an early departure en masse as big as that.
There’s people in the industry talking about giving him the AFL CEO role, the AFL has tried to poach him for their ranks… and Blitz has decided that he’s completely inept at his job
I always thought there was risk to appointing Rutten as head coach as he was in charge of team defence under Worsfold & there were no significant improvements in our team defence during that time.
Then 2021 happened I was pleasantly surprised. I thought Rutten was really trying to change the culture through connecting the club back to its roots, our gameplan had dramatically improved & it felt like there was total buy-in from the playing group. He was actually practising what he was preaching since being head coach, it was a great first impression.
I didn’t expect finals in 2022, but I expected the standards that were set in 2021.
I’ve never seen such a jekyll and hyde transformation from one year to another in just about every aspect that a head coach should be in control off.
Promoting Campbell to the AFL CEO role would, once again, validate the Peter Principle: “…an employee who gets continually promoted until reaching his/her level of incompetence…”
I wish the AFL would take him off our hands - tomorrow wouldn’t be soon enough and Campbell can take Dodoro with him.
Does it matter? Articles aren’t raising him as a candidate, and ther wasn’t past job offers - because Blitz is right.
Though… it does seem to take a heavy hand of corruption to be appointed as an AFL CEO. Maybe Blitz could incoherently rant about Xavier being corrupt now?
Here I’ll start it off.
I heard he’s an actual plant by the Lizard people who are traditionally die-hard farkCarlton supporters
I know you have to take everything on these type forums with a grain of salt. But does anyone know, or think, if the clubs media department review these places to gauge supporter sentiment.
