and any other club bar us and carlton, i’d agree that it’s most likely just a conincidence. our club and carltons historically don’t work that way.
it’s like saying it’s just a coincidence Robbo is now writing these articles with seemingly inside knowledge of what’s gone on the last few weeks. it’s almost like he was there in the room were all the people where and the decisions were made. coincidence that.
you’re talking to someone who says coteries are just nice people cos all the ones he’s attended (while not being a member) that don’t go into any intricate detail about how they donate money and expect favours and special treamtent for it, like they are a evil villian in an austin powers movie where they detail their intricate plans at world domination to randoms for the hell of it.
I love that he has been the instigator of change but the 3 fiasco’s with Ruttens sacking, AT’s involvement in the external review and subsequent appointment as CEO have to have consequences given the fallout of the last 2 fiasco’s especially.
Hisgrove should step down for the Thornburn selection.
Barham remains in place to sweep the place out, install an appropriately qualified CEO. I don’t want Barham as Chairman for the longterm. He’s a disruptor, it’s messy, there are missteps but he needs to focus on cutting the tumours out of the club.
Then there should be a board spill. The existing one’s can nominate themselves but member choose. No more appointment for friends.
Exactly.
Scary to think that the old fools cunning plan was so so close to eventuating and having Hird parachuted into the job.
Clean the lot of the Hird cultists out especially all leaking to that fat pig Robbo
Many on here have been saying that we need to rid ourselves of the reliance on revenue from pokie machines and gambling (and I agree). But just as importantly we need to wean ourselves off the teat of the coteries. They only have influence because of the money.
Just expunge the Hird name from the club, take the Hird name off everything, hand back to the family what they have given to the club, including the grandfather’s premiership medal
Maybe it’s getting to the stage that the family don’t want their name to be associated with what’s become of the club
