I was given the VHS of the inaugural Hall of Fame, when King Richard and those of his era talked about the Premierships of the forties and Essendon being in so many GFs, as when Essendon was finally accorded respect as a club. I think that was after Collingwood being the club through the Depression Years .
Then there was the envy of the Doggies. Their Premiership players got a travellers clock, whereas Essendon had beautiful engraved pewter medallions. That must have been before the VFL started giving them to the players.

What makes you think the Club would make an effort to give the supporters what they may like?
The membership thread could easily merge into this thread. Something is seriously wrong with how the club goes about the whole membership process. Wander over, it’s worth a read.

I’m not getting scammed by the club again…… not until they show they can be trusted.
They have gotten my money for too long and they simply haven’t deserved one cent.
The amount of money we have wasted paying out Coaches & CEO’s has serious cause for fraud investigation.

I think you’re confusing poor decision making with corruption. Intent matters. But maybe you were just pretending.
I stopped being a member in 2009 and my decision has been justified.
Once they become a serious football team/club and start winning games,finals,contending for flags on a regular bases then i will become a member.

So you gave up after 4 or 5 ■■■■ years. If it was 2019 I can understand but 2009…
i’m with nino. i’m not giving money to an organisation that just wastes it.
that said, if there’s a link to a wikipedia page on how to be a proper supporter i’d be keen to read it

Pay for my membership just to watch us get smashed by the likes of Geelong,Dogs etc fark that ■■■■
Not just that but i cant really afford it. I use to have the bronze membership which gave me my reserved seat for home games at Marvel and MCG.

I don’t have an issue with canning memberships, for any reason. Especially when times are becoming challenging with cost of living etc. Every dollar has a ROI and I can understand Essendon not delivering an ROI being valid.
That said, ‘bandwagon’ supporter is a stigma attached to fans who walk away in tough times and jump back on when times a good. That stigma is unfortunate but it applies nonetheless.
Who cares though, spend your money as you wish, it doesn’t matter what anybody thinks. It’s your money……
But, you’re a (very loyal & devoted) bandwagon supporter

I eventually become a member again but not anytime soon
And that’s certainly understandable. I sometimes think of doing the same. $1,500 every year. A donation out of the goodness of my heart (not brain). But I keep doing it…
