Very good post. I didnāt renew my membership 2 years ago but still try and get two games. I was there on Saturday and it was hard to watch even in the 1st half. The players donāt have the talent but I think itās the coaches and management that is the problem.

Yep, it is very sad what has happened to this once great and proud club.
We are a complete mess.
I was born in 85 so Iāve at least seen us win 2 flags (93 and 2000) but the last 20 years have been pathetic.
If we lose to Gold Coast in Melbourne then it is game over.

Essendon have been overrating its list for over 20 years. It started with Sheedy bringing the likes of Murphy, Mathew Allen and Mal Michael. You could excuse that given that the side was coming off the 2000 premiership. But then it extended went we went for Knights over Hardwick allegedly because Hardwick was advocating for a full rebuild where as Knights believed only tinkering was required. Then we had the saga, fast forward to Worsfold telling us that we were 3 years from top 4. 4 years later he is telling the fans we are too impatient. Then Rutten era - again we are in the cusp. Trade away picks to bring in established players. Now Scott doing the same.
The only reason we have any young top draft picks because players left and we missed out on trading for guys like Dunkley.
One day we need someone brave enough to say we arenāt good enough. Could Scott do it the end of this year? Letās hope so. Otherwise, see you all next year and for the foreseeable future in thread like this.

Did the club contact you to ask why you havenāt renewed?
Hawthorn began their rebuild 4 years ago.
Now theyāll be above us on the ladderā¦ā¦ and the most inform side coming into finals.

Iām sure that most on here would be ok if we were playing 4 or 5 kids winning now and then showing signs of change
Iād happily cop that then rolling out the usual suspects week in week out and actually setting the club back

Itās going to take longer then 4 years we are the worst at developing talent.
They ripped the band aid off.
Meanwhile we still havenāt made any decisions.
The trouble is we think itās just a graze we will be ok when seriously we need major surgery

All these top 10 draft picks and not one has become a star or elite 3 top 10 picks in Reid,Perkins,Cox all look like busts
McGrath pick 1 and nothing but a B grader at best.
The evidence is right there we cant devlop talent and if we go down the rebuild path we will botch that too
