Maybe we angered God by firing Andrew Thorburn after one day for the sole reason of being a Christian who believes Christian doctrine. It’s not like he hurt anyone or committed crimes, just that he believes marriage is between a man and a woman. Please don’t take this is me preaching, I’m not, but trying to work out what is wrong. First half of the year we are flying, looking like a genuinely good team. Go look at the posts. Then it starts to stutter, then go completely off a cliff to the point the future appears bleak. We’ll do the same next year too. The way we have acted as a club for the past 10 years has been pretty reprehensible. The way we cast James Hird aside in 2015 after a few losses, the way we also treated Bomber, same again with Rutten in 2022. It’s all been pretty low brow. As much as we all want respect, I don’t think we deserve any to be honest. I was happy with Brad Scott, like last year, until this point of the season then I am left scratching my head. I did want James Hird at end of 2022, not for any other reason but because it was the right thing to do. Perhaps it was? Until we make things right, we are going to be a soulless nothing club which enriches C and B grade footballers. Maybe that’s what we need to do to break this curse. I agree with others on here, it’s just no longer fun. I was 10 in 1993 and 17 in 2000 so at least I got to see some Premierships. I feel for you poor souls born from mid to late 90s, you would have seen nothing but failure and disappointment. I would love to say we are about to turn the corner, and we are just a year or two away, but we’re not. Not even close. Perhaps pray to your god if you believe in one, that’s the only hope we have left.

So it seems like 12th is the lowest we can go on the ladder, even if we lose every game. What’s worse in my mind is thef&$(ing Dawks won 3 flags, have dropped down the ladder and without any super high end draft picks have managed to chargeback and could even end up top 4 if they can improve their percentage and in a down year could do another 2008.

And all with that smug pri&$k Mitchell in charge and we were probably all getting at least some small semblance of satisfaction out of their struggles and now we don’t even have that.

I thought I was the only one disgusted with that performance. Then I read Blitz.
Its good in a way to know there are others hurting and angry.

But its bad.

Why should you care if your footy club are playing like ■■■■?

I mean its not something you can control, even if thousands of you go to games and barrack for them. They might still play like that.

No, I refuse to accept the hurt. I am not a masochist.

But, please be honest. What the fark is wrong with the team? Can the club be honest? 17 other teams have excuses. We had just 1 player from the best 22 out. We have no excuse, but there must be a reason for the totally inept la k of effort.

Mitchell also had the benefit of working as an assistant at Hawthorn with the list for how many years before becoming coach? Scott didn’t have that luxury. Mitchell could cut the deadwood because he knew who they were.

If Scott didnt have a good idea of who the deadwood were before he took the job he had no business even applying.

I remember when we hired him everyone was saying we hit the jackpot because in his role at the AFL he had access to all the secret data and would allready know our strengths and weakness. We were told he wouldn’t need to waste two years finding out about our list, he would hit the ground running.

Oh boy was that wrong.
