Gives them a list of teams to request trade to where they can ride the coat tails of actual good players putting in effort for success given they can’t do it for themselves
Called the fans wanting to sack Brad stupid haha
Didn’t know where to put this but first crack was spot on tonight, kingy put it on the players like they should in Laverde McGrath McKay redman Langford Shiel etc and called out the crap.
Also said the only way to move past this is selection integrity and dropping players that don’t do team first actions.
If anyone can put the clip up that would be great but these numbers are damming.
I’m thinking back to Lloyd’s comments at the start of the year.
Didn’t he say if the bombers don’t qualify for the top 8 our supporters would almost ‘burn the place down’? Hahaha
Essendon is the joke that keeps on giving. Absolute cluster ■■■■ of an organisation.
When were the Hammers up before Christmas?
The last 3 weeks we’ve lost to 11th, 14th and 15th. This was the perfect run of games to find form and secure a finals berth. Win 3 and we are second a game off first. Even drop one but win two and we are 4th.
The players had the perfect opportunity to control their destiny and finally get some success. We were basically fully fit with close to a best 22 you could get each week so no excuses. You could not have asked for a better set up.
Instead they blew it all in spectacular fashion.
Biggest bunch of losers to grace the club.
That’s why this year‘s capitulation hurts more than all the others
Yeah getting pumped by top 4 sides when we’ve got half a dozen key players out with injury is one thing. Losing to Adelaide at home and st Kilda with full strength teams is unforgivable.
The only positive I’m taking out of it is that there’s no excuses this time. Every year we’d fail & the same excuses about injuries would be wheeled out as though we were the only club with players missing. Now at least there’s nowhere to hide.
With the injuries those clubs have had, including Melbourne, it really highlights just how pathetic we’ve been these past couple of weeks.
The contrast with the way we strangled Collingwood makes the whiplash we’ve experienced all the more painful.
Collingwood is in equally bad form plus they have injuries. It’s not a great win to have beaten them.
Granted in hindsight the win doesn’t seem as significant, however we were fantastic that evening and with the same application displayed that night across the last three weeks we’d probably have won all three.
They just don’t want a bar of it.
Essendon players hate and I mean absolutely hate the grind.
Sure there’s Merrett and maybe a couple of others who get it, but the majority?
They aren’t up for the fight. We’ve seen it time and time again.
If I’m the coach, I’d spend every waking moment identifying the factions amongst the playing group and then I’d cut out the cancer with extreme prejudice regardless of the names.
Not just that…… the Premiership is up for grabs.
Literally anyone could nab a premiership this year.
If that isn’t motivation for the players, then the whole list needs to be delisted.
we’re bottom 4 for percentage.
I had a look, and we are also bottom 4 for quarters won and for points against.
Basically, we are bottom 4 for lots of things except the one thing that actually gets you a high draft pick. (Except we are bottom 4 for that over the last 5 weeks.)
This is the (essendon) way.
All the pain and none of the gain.
With an experienced side with key players in the right age profile and we’re still this bad.
But Nino won’t sit through a rebuild.
With tassie coming in 2027, any rebuild you start now could take 15 years.
at least we’d have our excuses sorted for the next 2 decades then.
And by then we won’t have won a final for 37 years, the fans won’t have the patience to go through a rebuild then.
