Something seriously wrong with the club (Part 3, August 2022)

I’ll guarantee something that will get trotted out here come January/February next year when people are forecasting how they reckon we’ll go in 2025:

“You’ve got to remember, we were a top 4 side for half of last year. Now that we’ve added [INSERT JADE GRESHAM LEVEL RECRUIT] I can see us going well”

Nino is $1.05

Andrew had a free run at it largely because Collins kick fell 10m short of where he was trying to put it.

In other words, the positioning was poor that Andrew didn’t have to come over the top of someone to pluck it.

An accidental perfect kick into space whilst the defence set up for a long bomb to the square.

Omg
Still sending me an email with an exclusive from Dan McPherson.

How about a letter from Barham or Vozzo actually saying something real. Club has no leadership. I fkn miss Paul Little.

Our list structure (not so much talent, but structure. Probably talent too though not as much) is cooked, and it reflects in our structure of best 22 on game day.

We have some ‘good’ players that actually don’t help us get better as a team because they are not able to play the role we need them to play.

Hard calls need to be made, it will be interesting if it happens.

They do, but they won’t be.

And everyone bar the happiest of clappers knows it.

I think there will be some, so that’s a start.

They’ll do the obvious playing at the edges type B.S that they always do.

This club and its leadership do not have the strength of character, the integrity or the level of self awareness to face into and own its mistakes.

Dishonesty has become one of if not the defining characteristic of this football club.

I wonder how sales for FIRST CLASS are tracking since they launched it a month back after the win against the Pies.

Obv this will be AFTER the boys have been to Ibiza etc ?

Awesome, can we eavesdrop on the conversations after a loss. Can we have a video tour of Andy McGrath’s wellness centre the following day? The team should go there for some holistic healing today.

Nino no pre season with the same lot of players will get you a different result

Just wait for the same old it’s the hardest pre season we’ve done in years

Let’s do an altitude camp when any benefits from it disappeared before the season started

And you can bet on we won’t be able to win a n intra club lol

He’s wasred 2 years on the proviso that the club thinks the list is good enough to win a final

It’s delusion of the highest order

No altidude camp i want a military style boot camp non of these players have been on anything like this

This is why we follow the bombers.
The unending crushing feeling of bitter disappointment and angry frustration is cosy warm and comfortably familiar.

We are minimum 10 years away from making it to a Prelim. As always, it’s only the players with a handful of games that could still be at the club if that happens.

So Caddy and Roberts could potentially be in that side. Nobody else.

He he, that’s a good point!

It’s not just Dodoro. Even before him, EFC never had a successful first round draft pick. The stars of that team came up from the local leagues, family and better performing low round draft picks. Back in 2001 despite having such a strong team, we could see there would be bleak times ahead due to wasting all those first round picks.

Then Essendon said “Hold my Beer” and put Dodorororo in charge to really screw our future.

That’s fine but the approach you’re taking isn’t a positive solution. Its emotional and pointless and doesn’t solve any problem at all.

At the same time all it takes is a BS win like last week and all the clapper supporters (and there are thousands of them) come crawling out of the woodwork professing that everything is fine and we are on the right track and that it’s not all doom and gloom.

They are wrong of course as proven over more than 2 decades now, but unfortunately that’s all it takes for the club and its incompetent board continue to maintain the status quo and do absolutely nothing of any consequence in the pursuit of actual success.

The harsh reality is we have all become losers by association.

The joke is on us.

Every last one of us.

I mean as if it wasnt bad enough when crom were taking shots from the cheap seats when they got one back on us a few weeks ago but to have Hardwick literally label the players absolute spuds last year, and then to lose to them twice in a single season including one at marvel AND then to have to suffer the ignominy of their social team giving a giant FU to this club and its supporters with not even a shot fired back in anger…

Modern day Essendon really is the most feeble, pathetic and inept club in the entire AFL and it’s not even close.

Whatever legacy and reputation this club once had for excellence on field and for winning and for success, it’s now all but completely evaporated.

We’re not getting that back.

Ever.

Hepp would step up.

At least, he would be there when they missed the shot at goal to crack a joke with them

It may save the next generation from following this miserable excuse for a club.
