Early and late during footy season we’d get swooped waiting at the interchange gates.
Family of plovers(?) nesting on the roof used to go troppo as dusk approached.
Those grey miner birds are the aggressive little bastards out our way. Used to regularly get bombed along Mullum Creek during nesting season when I’d ride to work…
These little fkrs…
Plovers are the worst, I reckon. They don’t just want to scare you away from their nests, they want to tear you a new ■■■■■■■.
Didn’t know you had Plovers in Reservoir?
There are many natural wonders in Reservoir, my friend. We even have a lake with ducks.
That’s a decent lake. I might visit Reservoir one day.
Yep the reviled noisy miner bird. I have been swooped also
@Vinnie_D Vinnie_D, summarise in 50 words or less what you have been up to for the last THREE YEARS!
For sure, just don’t come in the Spring.
Is that peak season for COVID-19?
Nah it’s beak season for plovers…and other winged nasties.
I reckon you have either been a) in gaol or b) dealing in Bitcoin.
Honeyeaters?? Love seeing them in the Garden??
They are native and endangered, from the reviled Indian Myna…
Never known the Noisy Miner to swoop either myself, … and I’ve lived among them all my life.
I have NOT been in gaol or dealing in Bitcoin. I simply took a break. Everyone wanted to argue and fight with me because they couldn’t handle my truth. Covid boredom brought me back.
We nearly had to relocate our wedding because Miner Birds had nested in a tree in the gardens we were using, and were swooping anybody who came near it.
Thankfully, once their was a large group of people assembled they disappeared, but the celebrant (who was first there) got absolutely smashed.
I liked your truth. Seldom agreed with it but liked it never the less.
Also, I didn’t want to come between you and your wife.
Ha!.
That’s what I like about you. You consider other people’s feelings.
A lot has changed since you were last here.
