If you’re anywhere near Brunswick, it used to be stocked at Miss Moses. A good drop for a beer that is simply that, just beer.
It was a bit disappointing tbh. Mostly just a sweet stout without any depth of flavour.
They sell a 3 pack. All various flavours, but all very similar.
There was not even a hint of smoke with this one.
It’s a shame, because their brews are usually pretty good…And they’re local.
I had that one last night and you’re right, no smokiness at all. A bit cheaper than some of the similar styles but overall not worth it.
Just had a Coffee Brown by Burnley Brewing. Very nice. But instructions on the can? Cool can, goes without saying, shake well. That’s what threw this old farker. Bit of mess when ring pulled then vertical pour. Did go down well though, was going to pour another but got told to take the dog out. So a nice glass of a Tas whisky came to hand instead.
It’s that time of the day is it?
Another one bites the dust. Lotus Brewing. Any of you guys drink their offerings?
Into receivership.
And Valhalla.
And I just saw Craft and Co are shutting down their Collingwood site and ceasing hospitality offerings altogether.
The Collingwood site seemed to do ok for event bookings but was always dead for regular day to day customers.
These guys had a nice little bar in the heart of Geelong. They then decide to expand the brewery and open a beer hall in an industrial precinct on the edge of the lower socioeconomic part of town.
Yes there are other hospitality venues there, but it didn’t appear to be the wisest decision.
Expansion has been proved as the folly of the majority who have tried over the last ~3-4 years.
Up the snow (actually there’s fark all) with @nackers. Just arrived so time to crack one.
Ghost MC Collab with equilibrium very tasty.
Tired Hands are quality. “Alien Church” is one of my favourite beers out there.
Thanks mate I’ll try to scope out out
Hawkers and Big Shed have signed a distro deal to help distribute each other’s beer interstate. So that would be Hawkers into SA and Big Shed into Vic.
Rocky Ridge moved into the old Thunder Road Brewing site in Brunswick, so will see an increase in their stuff into the eastern seaboard.
And the sorry tail of Dainton Brewing continues… Apparently somebody forgot to tell the Vic Liqour and gamining licencing board of their entry into VA, and thus lapsed their liqour license… So they’re currently unable to make or sell beer at either of their venues, despite their Croydon venue have a general license to trade.
It’s going on ~4 weeks they’ve been closed and still no resolution to the issue.
Absolute ■■■■ show.
