Saw You Am I playing Hi-fi Way and Hourly Daily back to back last week.

They have not lost it. Tom Rogers seems to be defying age. Except of course for looking about 96 years old.

Cocaine’s a hell of a drug.

At the Red Clay Strays @ Festival Hall. I’m the most ethnic person here

Grabbed a ticket to these guys. Super keen to catch them live.

In the top couple of shows I’ve seen the last couple of years.

The tracks just go on forever, but it’s an epic journey.

Takes me back to this little gem

Geez that’s a fair way back. I think that track is off their first EP, and they hadn’t even added “The” to their name yet.

Vol 1 and 2 make a beautiful mid 90s time capsule. Sadly, I still live in this era.

But I always thought it was 2 different bands, or that another band had the same name, but obviously it was just ‘the’.

My mate took his best band photo ever of the Hives. Lead singer crowd surfing 2 metres away, staring straight down the camera. Great photo. (Yes, I know without the photo it isn’t very exciting)

Saw (ex Weddos) frontman Mick Thomas and the Roving Commission here in Perth last night. As always, it felt like a private gig in someone’s front lounge with lots of sing-along Gaelic-infused stuff. His band is a cracker.

Special mention to Skyscraper Stan, the support act. A bloke, his guitar, a top drawer voice singing some great original material.

Not so special mention to the quintet of kegs on legs who slam-drank and had a yellversation for the first half of the show. Got me ■■■■■■ why these idiots go to gigs.

Locked in tix for David Byrne in Perth (in January next year!). Suspect it’ll be awesome.

I’ve seen posters advertising Mariah Carey playing at Marvel. Who is going to this? Other than that Xmas song, does she have anything?
(Each to their own tho)

You can’t be serial.
She’d have to be in the top 20, if not top ten, selling artists of all time.

I really only like Vision of Love, personally, which I think was her first single.

But live in concert?

She doesn’t strike me as someone that has had any recent success, publicity or reason to tour.

Now you’ve made me google her.
You’re kinda right, she hasn’t released an album since 2018 (and that was a Christmas album so barely counts), but she has had a #6 Aus single in 2022 under her own name (although that was a remix).

I wouldn’t go.
