Did them last time and they were ace.
At freaking Marvel.
Pentagram are touring Australia for the first time ever.
No theyre not
Its been cancelled.
Oh that sucks
Got The Hives tonight at the forum.
Haven’t been this pumped for a gig for years! Most gigs I get to these days are bands I’ve already seen before, but this is a band I always wanted to see but things didn’t align previously.
I’ve seen them once, at either the last Soundwave or BDO.
You’re in for a treat.
Got GA for Sabaton cos the remaining seats were pretty junk.
Back is going to be hating me ![]()

The Hives were farking awesome!
No slow songs, no ballads. Just high energy rock from start to finish.
And Pelle Almqvist is one hell of a showman.
How many here have ever walked out of a gig because it failed to meet your expectations?
That was me last night at the Russell Morris farewell show. A set list dominated by obscure tracks (even introduced as such at times). Great band and polished show but the song choices were baffling. I quit at half time. Maybe I’m just old and getting hard to please. Highlight was his cover of It’s All Over Now. The multi-level irony was not lost on me.
LMW and I walked out on Blondie after a way better than expected set from Cyndi Lauper.
She/they were seriously disappointing.
Poison and Neil Diamond were shows that I Should have walked out of.
James Reyne nestling beautifully with most of the acts there…
No offence to Jimmy… who I don’t mind…
Yeah, kinda stands out a bit.
This is your sort of lineup isn’t Bakes? At least the first few headliners.
Yeah, that’s about the size of it… pop in late for those and clear off…
Sun Kil Moon at the Thornbury Theatre a few years ago.
I was actually falling asleep it was so boring. 20 minute repetitive songs with talking and no singing. Absolutely horrible.
When I bought tickets to Helmet in ‘94, I was bummed to find out much closer to the show that they weren’t even headlining. They were supporting the Beastie Boys, FFS.
I was ok with them, but wouldn’t consider myself a fan.
Just like John Candy in the blues brothers when they were going to arrest Jake and Elwood at the concert. I figured I’d at least hear what they sounded like. But I was fully expecting to leave after 1-2 tracks.
Holy ■■■■ would that have been one of the dumbest moves ever. Within seconds the joint was just heaving and just one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to unfolded.
Would’ve only been perfect if there was an Orange Whip to be had.
Good Things lineup is actually pretty decent this year. A shame it’s on a school day and I may have to work some magic to attend.
Harvest Rock lineup also should come out today. I went a couple of years ago and it was fantastic.
