There are a couple of fairly simple solutions to doctoring of wickets
I honestly think the best thing would be the icc is in charge of preparing the practice wickets for touring teams, where they best replicate what they will encounter once the real stuff starts
But they would never spend the money doing it
Doctor the pitches to suit home conditionsâŚitâs fine. Just donât sook it up when your home team loses.
And the Windies game they deliberately chose a lifeless KR deck and rolled it to within an inch of its life so that it was completely different to what they were going to get a few days later at AO
Not as cute as a whinging Pom who came in here with a massive chip on his shoulder after watching his team get steam rolled.
Anyway letâs just remember that we played India in England last year on a non doctored wicket for either side and we won. Which makes us world test champions.
Also I seem to recall we beat India at home in the World Cup final that they couldnât possibly lose.
Someone made a wise crack, and I made one back
You made a few smart remarks, now Iâm replying
Donât dish it out if you canât cop it
Makes sense when youâre coming up against powerhouses like Pakistan and the WindiesâŚ
This article is from Dec 11
I can cop it, you just like to whinge though.
You clearly canât.
Your whining that I said Australia make concrete like pitches for touring teams, you were wrong- which I have pointed out and you canât admit it
Never did, just disagreed with you and still do.
Anyway I am off to bed, enjoy the rest of your day of whinging.
I enjoyed the Windies fightback and look forward to seeing how our top order goes on this deck.
Nah your just being a â â â â â , you threw out a barb and now Iâm throwing one back and you canât handle it
Letting a minnow full of no names pile on 200+ more runs after being 5 down is incredibly disappointing.
Zim 4/11 chasing the Aussies 296. Iâm going to call this one.
Which is still a huge error on our part imo. India isnât just about the pitches. Itâs the overall conditions, humidity, atmosphere, sleep patterns, bowlers rhythm etc. I still think we should get on the ground and play some preliminary matches.
And I loved that Pakistan managed to squeeze in a two day match against a Vic 11 between Tests in the recent tour. It sends themselves a message that theyâre here to learn and compete.
Of course they are. England named three spinners just coz theyâre spinners , not coz theyâre Test standard.
Pretty much ,I still rate Rehan as a talent. But our cupboard for spinners is pretty much empty
Wow.
