Canal side living…you can even swim with the bull sharks
Why are the streets/ houses ■■■■ shaped?
I thought the same
You might be setting me up for a pun, but I’ll just go with I have no idea the story behind it. I’ll bet there was a temptation to not spell peninsular correctly.
They didn’t anyway. Evidently these ignorant banana-benders don’t know the difference between an adjective and a noun. Morons.
Au contraire, mes chers abrutis du sud! That reeks of peninsular envy. It is quite clear that here the adjective peninsular is being used deliberately as part of a noun phrase and thus serves the same purpose as an adjectival noun (e.g. ‘The Rich’, ‘The Famous’, ‘The newly wed’ ‘The large peninsulared’ etc.). It is being used in this way to highlight the exclusivity of the location itself, almost as if this particular peninsula is The most Peninsular. Simple.
Another shot of the GGC. Peninsular peninsulas.
Typical real estate marketing - a right cockup, as @alex.f.94 pointed out.
“Peninsular peninsulas” ? Talk about superfluity of language !
What other shape would a peninsula be ?
Or a cockup rightly done.
A load of typical real estate mangled marketing bullshit. Bring on the bull sharks…
Let’s not get into particular peninsula shapes, that could end up in peninsular shaming of particular peninsulas not quite living up to the advertising standard of the perfectly peninsular peninsula.
Was the ladies’ occupied ?
Insular : “ ignorant of or uninterested in cultures, ideas, or peoples outside one’s own experience.
“a stubbornly insular farming people”
Btw, that image of the ‘peninsulars’ looks like a barely ‘before’ to a climate change ‘after’ where all you see are the abandoned uppers of the high rise horrors. 80 million over just the last 5 years, artificial reefs and sand importation to prop up disappearing beaches. Rough stuff. Little more than an aspirational bogan theme park without the actual coast.
Who, Southerners? I know, right?
No man is an Island, Entire of itself, but a lot of men are peninsulas

GLOBAL WARMING! RUUUN!
Cavill Av will become the Venice of the south east.
Sumernats is on and most of the numberplates are Victorian. Just sayin’.
Bogans in their natural environment - Bendigo
You’d also be familiar with John’s grim words regarding building too close to erosion zones, your mayor needn’t ask for whom the bell tolls. It is hilarious though, the marketing team thinking they’ve cracked it with that one. In a sense they did, those shark infested lagoons are on par with Floridian gated communities for insularity. The air is 85% old person methane.
Sumernats Lol. * Summernats May as well be Sumer though…
Australia is blessed with bogans right across the stretch, but I will say that my most recent visit to Bendigo was an eye opener. Superb arts scene, grass roots and council backed community developments, and I’d forgotten how charming the giant tree lined streets and the superb gold rush architecture are. Underrated is the ‘Go’.
