GC is nice, but life is tough for curly tops people up there during wet season. Only a 6 months a year place.

The Glorious GC is not all about the impeccable weather, the marvellous food or the active, attractive, tanned, young, vivaciously sexy locals, it has some great beer. Try Balter 
Indian Pale Ale, brewed in Currumbin. If Summer came in a can and was 6.8%, it would be this:

Concur with OP, just back from a few days there. We generally stay in the quieter bit way south of surfers and it is indeed glorious

Balter is a great beer and widely available on the glorious GC and Northern NSW. Many people drink it. However, of course the Balter brewery is relatively small and doesnât have the brewing volume thus sales of mainstream breweries.
