Well there goes Muchova lol. Gauff gets through 6-4, 7-5. Into her first US Open final. There was some cracking tennis towards the end of that match.

Go Shelton!

Gauff has played well the last couple of months but it’s still a surprise to see her make a Grand Slam final with that weak forehand.

Pickleball is like tennis except you dont need to be anywhere near as skillful to play it.

On the ā€œhottest tennis player foreverā€

I dont find her particularly pretty.

Reckon shes just got a good publicist and done the right glamour shots.

Most women can look good with enough makeup.

You get the feeling US tennis might be ready for a renaissance eh?

Been a long time between drinks for them. Much like aussie players

Yeah, good for the sport after the era of european dominance, even though I don’t tend to like their players (outside of Agassi) but I can’t hate on a pair of teenagers so good luck to both Shelton and Gauff.

Fark shelton lets go Joker

Yuck.

Gotta back the underdog.

Tennis desperately needs a few more players capable of winning a slam. Can’t just be the Djokervic/Alcaraz show going forward.

Nadal is cooked. I wonder when he will make it official?

He was on track for the grand slam just last year. I think he’ll play the Aus and then retire at the French, hopefully with a win. The cliff will come for Djokovich and it will happen quickly. Unless others step up then I see nothing other than a a mid 00s Federer like dominance from Alcaraz where he won 15 slams inside of 6 years.

Yeah who knows. Nadal might just stay in Europe. He wouldnt be favourite to win here.

With the right prep he would obv feel more confident in euro clay tournaments.

He said next year he’s doing a farewell tour so I’m sure he’ll try play each slam.

Yeah i’ve seen videos of him training recently, looking fit (always does) He’s just taking the cautious approach so he can be cherry ripe when he does return. He has a slam left in him. He’s looked cooked for the best part of a decade. Never write the Bull off.

Lmao!! Sabalenka just celebrated then thinking she’d won. Her box had to remind her that it’s first to 10 points in the 3rd set tie-breaker

She’s a powerful woman Aryna. Definitely an impressive physical specimen.

Good on her. World number 1 and through to another grand slam final!
