Massive booming thunder in the hills west of Whittlesea.
Really come from nowhere and unusual, especially this time of year, for the rain to be coming in from the east/south-east.
Kind of like having a thread about football but not allowed to talk about kicking for goal, an essential part of the game.
Rain is weather. Weather is rain. Just merge them.

Wow, it was amazing. Quite surreal. I could hear it coming but there was nothing on the ground for about 5 mins then, bang, ice everywhere. Bit scary when your skylights face the East and are normally protected from this stuff.
Power back on yet? And leak okay?

Yeah, I just went out and looked and stuff is still there.
ABC saying it came from Frankston, dangerous things come from there.
