Meteorologist said ‘just south of Frankston’
I suspect they were talking about another band of storms. I know some hit Queenscliff (coming from the east). So that is more probable.
Yes, there was a southern band but that was not responsible for the hailstorm in northern suburbs. That came in over north of Mt Dandenong and traveled west hitting the NE suburbs and onwards.
It was a very weird weather pattern yesterday. I’m just happy to escape with no damage.
Tiny slither of frozen rain still left in the back yard. Will be gone before 23 hours have passed… SOFT!
Spectacular pic of the hit
glorious spring day in Melbourne
just glorious
Soak it up. Not going to be so nice for the next week.
yep - spring rains predicted for next few days.
Soaking up a coffee and cake in Fitzroy Gardens.
Been a pretty underwhelming start to Spring in Melbourne and across a wider area of southern/south-eastern Australia… and longer term forecast (NAEFS) isn’t providing much good news either.
Below average to well below average heading into the first few days of October for a broad area.
Melbourne’s highest temperature so far this month has been 21°C. By comparison at the same time last year we had recorded 10 days over 20°C in late August/first half of September… including a 27°C.
Will be nice eventually to get a few solid days in a row of sunshine as the month has been a shocker so far. And looks like finishing that way.
Beautiful day in Melbourne Town today. Get out there and enjoy it.
just got back from a stroll along the Yarra
it’s glorious out there
How good is this Melbourne Sunday morning.
Crisp and sunny.
enjoy
Already done 3 loads of washing.
Have you been wearing dirty clothes? Smelly Hoffy family.
It’s the sheets, then the towels, then finally the clothes. Can’t be mixing them up - all seperate loads.
Edit: clothes are actually two loads - whites and mixed. The fourth load is on now.
Out on the line at the moment, and unusually for this part of the world, insufficient breeze to dry clothes quickly.
