As I understand it, they would get 1 and 19 if the compensation is end of first round. If the AFL formula is first round rather than end of first round, then it comes after their main pick in that round, so pick 1 and 2 for them. The size of what is offered will be a factor in determining the level of compensation.

Spend the Kelly $$$ on a massive heavily front-loaded contract for 4 years.
Huge inside mid/contested ball improvement, costs nothing in picks or players.
Absolute no brainer given our awkward list profile.
Sneaky chance he also boosts our Mad Monday scores significantly.

Obviously Dyson is the better player here, but coming of one of his poorer season heās statistics arenāt too bad. He would be so handy as another inside option and I think he would thrive dishing it off to the likes of Zerrett, Orazio, Tippa, Parish etc. Even Colyer might start being effective again!

Not sure about that. I love Hepp. But Rockliff was played out of position for part of the year and his previous record shows that he is a more productive player than Hepp.
We need someone like him to take the hits and let Zerret etc get some more space.

They recently changed the rules after the Chip Frawley debacle.
It is virtually impossible to get a first round pick. I think you have to be paid in the top 5% of your position and have specific B&F finished etc.
No way we would offer Rockliff top 5% for his position.

I think Rockliff has been a more consistent player but I think Hepp can be more influential when he is at his best. I think Hepp is still a bit out of place in terms of his role in the midfield and adjusting after the year off, I can still remember him turning games around by himself like I think it was that last quarter against West Coast in 2014?? Hepp is a superstar and fingers crossed he steps up next year!
