Trade talk - from August 2024

Be more like Kurt Tippett.
get Dees in trouble for under the table payments and then head to collingwood in the preseason draft.

Poor old Crows got shafted there.

Not sure how a club that sanctioned illegal payments and draft tampering got shafted.

If Nino and Donslaught9 and co couldn’t accept that Hawthorn were going past us until it happened, wait until Richmond revitalise their list with a spread of elite talent in the next few drafts and give us windburn as they fly past us on our mid table hamster wheel.

The Daveys will not make it - far too soft. Both to be delisted end of next year.

It’s really hard to disagree with this. I’d love for them to surprise and prove those of us who think exactly that wrong. But you don’t often see players who are that averse to contact really turning it around. They obviously don’t need to become contested beasts, that’s acknowledged, but there’s going to be a watch next year whether they can reach a baseline acceptable level of competitiveness. Especially Alwyn who has had fewer interruptions and more exposure than Jayden.

First year alwyn was so much better especially the first game, what happened to him who knows but that could be said of every player on our list

Membrey would be a nice bridging option for North up forward. Seems a reasonable fit to me.

Sam Day too.

Other clubs actually delist their old plodders.

Some people wanted us to pick him up a few years ago, absolute wage thief that bloke

I know Petracca said he wants to go to a big Melbourne club, but I can see him at the Swans next year.

It’s happening. Accept it. Need to gradually ā€œimproveā€ our list and build out our depth. The kids can develop in the 2’s.

I’d be going after Trent Mckenzie too

He’s not from North don’t worry.

Can we convince Baker that Tullamarine isn’t that far from Perth?

Tough, a bit nasty, good defensively, a good field kick, 26yo and 130 games. Would be a great fit for us.

Funny thing is he’d probably be just about our best kick back there :man_facepalming:

How many key forwards do you want?

hf: Stringer Caddy Wingard
f: Langford Lynch Kako

As much as you jest would be better than any forward lineup we had this year

I doubt it muchly.
