Free hit? Or sugar hit?

I think everyone needs to cool their jets…right now Hawthorn look very good but the season has just begun and there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge. They haven’t won a thing yet.

Did you miss the memo? We think Hawthorn are unreal here on blitz.

Sydney looked even better early days last season.

Long way to go.

Agree and that’s what we needs to be fixed first at Essendon. We have been crap in this department for 20 years

Every pick makes a difference. I remember we threw a pick for Weideman. Not sure who Melbourne got with it, or whether they traded it.

Yep development coach role only.
We haven’t ever had many from the Hawks system come across.

It was pick 37, (ended up being 38)but we were expecting it to be wiped out by a Alwyn Davey Jnr bid.

I would have like Isaac Keeler at that pick.

Ouch, well done swans tho. Gave up one spud and one bloke who’s cooked and picked up an absolute gem in Bice

Lawson Humphries and Riley Bice… speed and skills. Would be great to have in our team.

What’s going on with Zane duursma? Why can’t he gets a game with norf

I think they’re playing him as a half forward, which as we know, can be starvation corner at times. Just don’t think he has the runs on the board to deserve a call up, despite his lofty draft pick.

He’s a medium fwd. they’ve got other medium fwds ahead of him in reality

Darling, Zurhaar, Curtis

Just going to have to wait for opportunity

North should have gone the Wiz

I wanted to keep it and draft Keeler.

Imagine we drafted Riley Bice and got Garrett McDooNaGhGHGHGHGHGHHHHHHHHH

(I appreciate that they were different drafts)

It’s incredible really. Especially seeing as though they were and still are in a horrible spot for small forwards.

They basically have none. Hansen Jnr I guess and he’s very very ordinary. Paul Curtis is more medium forward in the way he plays IMO.

It was a strange selection. Even at the time, Duursma felt a hard guy to place at AFL level and very skinny to boot.

If North had made a few changes obvious to everyone at the time (except their recruitment) they’d be much better off.

  • McDonald in 2020
  • Take the Adelaide offer for JHF and draft Rachelle
  • Wizard over Duursma

Every phantom draft I can find from 2023 has Duursma going before Watson.

You’ve failed to account for hindsight.

Just like if Dodoro had of drafted McLuggage over McGrath and Curnow over Francis?
