Port will want a 1st I’d think. If so we package our 2 seconds wth GC for 13 and trade for Bergman. I think our backline then looks really solid.
We have a glut of mids. Parish and Caldwell are both injured and I’m not sure who leave out this week to bring in Tsatas, who deserves a game. I think a mid or 2 will get traded. We’ll find the points for our NGA’s.

We’ll need to see how Sweid and El-Achkar are going before making too many plans, as we may need those picks for one or both of them. Or not. Lot of U18 footy to be played out.

I would happily trade a first for Bergman. Primarily because he is exactly what we need, but also because it would completely undo the horror Shiel trade. As Caldwell and Bergman were the picks we used on Shiel

I would want it to be a teens pick (if we were doing the deal). Possibly a future one.

I think we need to strengthen the backline, but we may already have the tools. If we did hit up Port, assuming he’s a lot cheaper (albeit riskier) I’d target Sinn.

Seems like we have a decent relationship with Port now too.

I’m all in on operation Bergman. He’s one of those, less flashy trades that would instantly make us more competitive.

Fills a massive hole for us.

Miles and Roberts kicking ass on the back flank for the next decade.

Also, maybe we weren’t into Houston because we had sights on Bergman?

Just listened to it. Throw away line by Sam, just dismissed Essendon as an option as he personally doesn’t rate us (flog). Has no mail on it apart from saying he thinks Harley will stay at WC for another year.

Mitch Clearly still thinks Essendon is an attractive option.

I don’t like spending first rounders on half back flankers. There are plenty of mids not getting enough opportunity in stacked midfields, that can go to half back and become stars. If he was a free agent I’d be for it though.

I don’t like spending first rounders on half back flankers. There are plenty of mids not getting enough opportunity in stacked midfields, that can go to half back and become stars. If he was a free agent I’d be for it though.

I’d pay up for a small defenders if they were elite at both sides of the role.
