Trade talk - from October 2024 (Part 7)

if you’re not going to be weary due to past mistakes re drafting, then surely you can’t then run with that trading in senior players is bad due to the mistakes of the same previous regime, either ?

the point the poster was making re the north situation is, high draft picks are generally used on midfielders, they are generally the ones who get the ball and stand out.
If you’re going best available for your needs, then you don’t necessarily need high draft picks, cos again they will be taken up with mids.

what we desperately need is for whatever path they choose to go down, they nail it.

Clearly you’ve got no idea about the conversation in this thread, because I haven’t said anything about being weary of drafting mistakes.

I think cox and jones are delist decisions. They aren’t trade worthy. It’s either sign again or delist, and I can’t read what happens to either of them right now.

I would suggest this new administration is probably more cut throat than previous iterations, both could be moved forward n if they don’t lift their game.

Because bulldogs kept shifting the goal posts(twice) that wasnt our fault

Haha, so many tired people in here

When you have a list managed who constantly tries to burn everyone it’s always going to blow back in your face. Any other club but us and he gets traded no issues

Can argue dodoros past reputation all you want, but not on this one, it was well documented they kept increasing what they wanted and their demands were ridiculous come their last request

Because they never had any interest in dealing with us due to the feud with Dodoro.
I mentioned around about trade time that one of the player agents I spoke to said that the Dogs had zero intention of trading with us due to the issue and no matter what we offered was never going to be enough. They purposely changed the goalposts on us and he absolutely maintains that of another club had offered similar to us than Dunkley would’ve been traded

Dogs upset that we took Stirnger with two second rounders hence why they didn’t want to deal with Dodo again?

Dogs wanted pick 11 for Stringer and Dodo trade that to GWS for Smith and an extra second rounder if I’m not mistaken

Bulldogs have been hard to deal with to other clubs as well. The Treloar trade was in bad faith. Why don’t they cop the bad to deal with tag?

Karma might come back to bite if JUH goes to another club for peanuts.

Not having a crack, but can you share where this was well documented?

It was well documented on Blitz

Do it Rosa

Not saying this is one of them, but there seems to be several myths that are taken as gospel here, despite them having no basis outside of Blitz.

Obviously there are certain posted who do have solid info, so sometimes they are accurate. @Aceman seems to be one of them, and he suggests Dogs were toying with us

If we jettisoned Stringer for alleged off field activities then no way would we entertain getting Jamarra.

Stringer was here for one purpose to win matches, he failed that purpose so we sent him away.

JUH would get a new chance with new playing group to build relationships but would need lots of support in and off field.

wonder how stringer is going the third time around.

I really hope us sending Stringer away doesn’t put us off in going after blokes like JUH

We hired Travis Varcoe get JUH to live with him

Why have we re-signed so many other players eg McGrath if winning games is the criteria?
