Jones is playing Wing.
I mean, you’d still make it work with JUH.
The need for him is lessened now with a mobile forward in Caddy developing.
It would have to get done for 1 x 1st rounder.

Coming from a trash show and person but why is it no longer supporting him through the personal issues to broken trust?
That’s my first thought too. Both are more lead up jump at the ball type markers as opposed to a big strong Hawkins-like wresting gorilla.
Ideally we have a gorilla to compliment Caddy but do we even have the luxury of having one? Elite key forwards are hard to find regardless of their styles. If JUH is available I think you just get him in the door and customise the forward structures based on what you have. No reason Draper can’t be that Gorilla when needed and have Caddy & JUH beside him kicking 45+ goals every year.

It probably gets a bit Crowded with Langford and Perkins and Draper there as well as Caddy.
If we got JUH, would need to do something Ballsy and do a player for player trade like with Langford or Perkins, could be a win/win for both clubs.
Langford long time dogs supporters, went to watch dogs in Grand final in 2016.
Is in the leadership group now though and would want to stay now club is heading in right direction.
Other players to offer I guess are mids Hobbs, Parish etc.
Its much easier to trade a draft pick though.

Wanganeen-Milera is who we should be throwing the kitchen sink at. Quick good distributor off halfback.

Saints are another team with huge cap space, they’d match it for sure.
He’s not a free agent. Just out of contract.
He just need to be happy enough to head to Tigers or West Coast in the pre season draft to force the Saints hand.
Saints are desperate for mids and do have a little depth at HB.
Send them a 1st and one of Parish/Hobbs? Offer to cover some of the salary so they can load up an offer to LDU

I personally don’t want us looking for trades. We have 4 draft picks and we will need 4 players to get the list better balanced and be ready for Tasmanian entering the competition. To me have clearly pushed the path to youth and the draft and doubling down on development and coaching. Why back out of that when the job of getting great youth and potential A graders is not done yet. Stay the course and stick with the draft

Is Kane Farrell any good?
He’s one of the best kicks of a footy in the competition. He’d be perfect for what we need off half back.
He is a little bit soft at times but as a designated kicker to set up plays and slice open zones you’d love to have him.
Farrell as a free agent (no draft capital) vs Wanganeen Milera (≈ two first round picks & another 300-500k p/a).
Obviously NWM the better player but I know which one makes more sense for us when we still have another few pieces to address.
