I know, I know…but why can’t these Muppets just say ā€œI’ve got no ideaā€.

In fact, can people just stop asking them and validating their existence.

Tom Morris is a grubby lil ā– ā– ā– ā–

Has Essendon tabled an offer to Harley Reid that anyone is aware of?

2 X 1st round 2025

1 X first round 2026

If we got Reid it’s goodbye Parish, Tsatsas for me . Hobbs is a hard nut , 21 and will get better. Add to that I think him and Reid would complement each other . Merrett could move to a wing or forward

Parish will stay, Tsatas will leave

That’s how Brad rolls

If we get Reid at least one of them definitely has to go. Just too many midfielders.
I’d be happy to use one of them in the trade for him, preferably Tsatas simply because Reid is not a defensive minded midfielder and neither is Tsatas. Hobbs is significantly more defensively aware out of the 2.

If chucking Tsatas in the deal could save us a first rounder we would be silly not to do it.

Extra, extra, Reid all about it.

Chad Reid.

I think Reid is target 1.
Wardlaw is backup.

Gresham to blues for third rounder for academy points. He joins his brother at blues as NGA.

2025,2026 firsts & Hobbs for Reid and 2026 second round.

if we miss Reid and he goes to cats or Hawks then.

2025 first and second round for Wardlaw and Zane Duursma from North.

draft Willem with the other first round pick.

Yep - life membership at Urbn Surf for Harley and free entry for West Coast teammates when they visit.

Hobbs, Parish, Setterfield, shiel, should be shipped off from our midfield before Tsatis. Only Merrett, Durham and Caldwell are safe. Tsatis is ready for a breakout game imo. He is a differeEnt player to Reid and will complement him. Menzies, Jones, cox, Greshem and Prior can sail into the sunset as well. Langford, wright, Guelfi, Mckay are also on the suspect list

He’s had about 8 pick 1’s and 30 top 10’s so far. No-one really standing out.

Geelong getting Reid, Worpel and Oliver…that’s a lot of inside mids.

I was going to reiterate that point. It matters when they’re contracted. When they are out of contract I agree that where Harley chooses he will end up. But when he is under contract west coast hold the cards. Like Daniher, like Dunkley, and even almost like Dylan Shiel. From memory with Shiel he almost went to Carlton as it looked like we weren’t going to get the deal done

Yes, i agree but when your team is as ā– ā– ā– ā–  as WC and is predicted to finish with the wooden spoon both years. It makes it a lot harder for a player like reid to walk to a club like geelong for Sweet FA. They will end up with the first pick next year and can match the contract.
A club like geelong has absolutely no cards to get the deal done. If WC really wanted to play hard ball.
Look what happened to nick stevens all those years ago, he left port wanting to go to collingwood, port allowed him to walk as they were not happy with offer. Carlton plucked him from the draft before collingwood had a chance.

I can honestly see west coast holding on to him to spite a club like Geelong, and then re drafting if he thinks he can walk to another club. I know thats what i would do in tgat situation.

Hobbs and Tsatas should stay, Hobbs has improved this year and building, his tank is now midfield ready as he is covering Alot of territory.

He just needs to fine tune his skills to compliment his lack of pace.

The rest I agree aren’t what we need moving forward

Cats won’t be able to cough up multiple firsts.

It would have to involve a player trade, I wouldn’t be surprised if Scott offers Stewart to provide experience and a very good player to help fill the void if Barrass leaving.

I’ve seen stranger things happen, Eagles will want a player if his calibre, plus the first round pick which will be 13-16 somewhere thereabouts and future 1st.

They should tell Reid that’s exactly what they will do unless he plays ball and ensures they get a good return for him.

Why would Stewart go play for West Coast?

He is 32 and contracted until 2027.

Surely he stays where he is.

West Coast are going to find it really hard to attract any players. They need draft picks
