Trade talk - from October 2024 (Part 7)

That was unexpected. All the word was that he was heading west.

I guess a nine year contract will do that.

It’s taken a while but he’s now becoming a genuinely consistent, dangerous player and slowly adding multi position impact. But nine years is a crazy contract term.

I’m glad we are 1 of the teams in discussions with Wanganeen-milera.

So I’m guessing Butters is a no from you?

The compo for him + player would be enough to get butters + lower pick swaps.
We still keep our 2 1sts for anyone else or draft.

It is Dodoro level of stupidity

I’d say we are almost zero chance of getting him and I’d expect to be back in Adelaide next year.
Just a matter of which team wins the race

I’d love Butters but we’d have to clear some mids…too many see ball get ball mids as it is. We really need outside class over another first possession mid.

Wanganeen-Milera might end up replacing Bergman?

Crows are heavily into him and he is their main priority. Will be a very hotly contested battle between Port and the Crows and it’s always hard to predict which one they will end up at

Bring in Butters, trade Hobbs, Tsatas and Parish.

Didn’t Bergman re-sign with Port?

I feel bad we took Caddy off Geelong, maybe we should trade him to Geelong along with our first.

No.

Come on, how are they ever going to win games relying on other teams superstar players?

Nope, 7 year deal on the table but plenty with close ties to Port reckon he is gone

I think it’s interesting matty Rowell hasn’t signed on at the Suns.

You think the Gold Coast would have offered him the farm to stay on.

He could perhaps well be on the move. Be great having him in the guts alongside Caldwell.

When does he move to Geelong?
