I wouldnāt pay too much attention to what Nino has to say on the draft, as heās just trumpeting his anti-draft agendaā¦ā¦ as he does every year.
Itās early days in the National Championships. So there is still a fair bit to play out.
At the moment there is a clear top 5-6 players, who are rated highly. At the moment theyāre all pushing for the no. 1 pick, as there isnāt a stand out yet.
Itās still very important to get into that top 5 of the draftā¦. As that gives us good chance at getting elite talent

I might be wrong here but I think the reason why many are down on this draft is because there are a few f/s and academy players at the top which means the open draft is shallower and also the Victorian talent is not as good as last year. That combination seems to have spooked a few. I think there is enough talent that 2 two 5-10 picks should result in us picking up 2 very good players.
Twomey has also said the draft lacks star power

Bevo doesnāt have poor years, they are a perennial top 10 team but they go into finals series needing everything to go perfect

Rowell is what our midfield is missing. We get him we can fark off the likes of Parish,Hobbs,Tsatas for some picks
