Who are GC going to bundle up with pick 2 to send to Geelong?

This is the same west coast that gave away pick three last year for Liam baker Matt owies and pick 12

So Matt Guelfi our end of first round pick plus a second rounder would do it?

Didn’t a poster say Sam Flanders was mentioned by Rosa in a meeting with Duz?
GC pick + Flanders (salary dump) for one of our second rounders for points.
Get it done!!

At a push we trade them Gresham Perkins and guelfi for pick 2

No ā– ā– ā– ā– .

Those picks we have will push out thanks to Allen FA compo and likely GC NGA pick bids. 5 and 6 could easily end up at 9 and 10…

Why dont we we bid on GC players. If they are best in this years cop we take them.

It’s a broken system finishing close to last and getting what is effectively pick 10.

I don’t think the player available at pick 2 will be much better than the player(s) we can get at 9 and 10. We would get to pick the type we would like, yes, but there is no stand out super star at the top end of the draft. Not worth it IMO

It’s more likely to be both second rounders.

The arrogance of West Coast to start marketing a pick they don’t have - but expect that they are going to receive - for a completely broken player. I’m sure they’ve been given assurances.

System is farked.

I want Flanders.

And if we get Flanders, I want Adam Simpson as coach.

NGA player bids make no difference to us. We still have access to the same players regardless if we have pick 4 or pick 9.

FA compensation will. But there’s nothing you can do about it, other than try to get a pick ahead of any clubs who might get Compensation for a free agent.

It’s a non-factor, if we do our job and keep losing.

It does make a difference. It’s not an open draft. We cannot under any circumstances get the best players in this draft.

Especially after the nonsense they put Allen through for meeting with Mitchell

We have never had access to them. So they’re not even a factor.

It’s not like we had been scouting these kids for 5-6 years, and Gold Coast has pulled them off the board at the last minute.

To us (unfortunately), they don’t exist from a drafting perspective

He’s not a left-footer, is he?

If WC are trying to trade pick 2 it’s a good indication that they’re not trading Reid this year. It wouldn’t make sense to split it if they were going to be getting another 2 top 10 picks as well.
