I love Rowell but he has to want to come here first and reports are he’s likely to stay. I also think the type of player Reid is/could be complements our list better than LDU, who we would also have to overpay to get out of north

Absolutely. I remember even his last two yeats leading into the draft he was doing the same then and didnt change when making the big league. Hes a generational player that has the traits of a upcoming superstar. People dont reckon hes worth 3 first rounders? I think he is. Im not saying all 3 picks to be top 10, but he is definitely valued around that IMO

Oscar Allen and Harley Reid double more likely.
Give 3 first rounders for Reid, plus they get compo for Allen.

When Ryan Maric first started playing at WC, I thought he looked quite impressive.
Now he’s being converted into a distributing defender? Did he fail as a forward, or was WC’s bad team performance a factor?..Or was it just the resurgence of Waterman that PUSHED him out?
I can’t quite let go of my first impression.

Great highlights…!! In all seriousness though a year off might actually help refresh Joe mentally and physically and he could come back to the Bombers as a 32 year old 201cm key forward target.
He was in ripping nick and finally got his body right at the Lions so it wouldn’t be the worst idea to think about talking to Joe at some stage this year…
What other key forwards who are big game players and average 2 goals/5.7 marks a game are available right now…??
Given our first rounders are likely to be lower than pick 5 or so, I recon its going to take more than just 2 of them.
We should be heavily rooting for Melbourne to lose this year because the higher the pick they give us, the more likely we could satisfy WC in a potential Reid trade without them bending us over a barrel.
They are much more likely to take say pick 4 and 9 than 8 and 11.
I really really hope we make this happen should Reid request a trade. Have a weird suspicion he is going to.
