If we lose Parish, Merrett and Ridley and pay half of Ridley and Parish we’ll have well over 4 million next year

We’ll also be very young and need some veterans to come in from successful clubs i’ll be looking at guys like Sidebottom etc

Sidebottom is 35. I hope you wouldn’t be looking at him.

True we need to bring some in tho

Our oldest players are Merret,Parish,Langford,Wright if they all go including Ridley we will be super young

Maybe Olie Wines could be one or Cripps

We’ve finally acquired some big brutes to play in the middle, so I don’t think Cripps is a good option anymore.

Feel like he’s going to slow down significantly in the next 2 years, thus the dominant games will become less frequent.

See if we can get Josh Kelly in on the cheap.

Yeah he’s missed a bunch lately, but even just a professional head who has exquisite skills to help teach development during the week and lift these standards.

Given our key defensive stocks, Dane ā€œpole climberā€ Rampe is looking like an option.

Would love Jeremy Howe but doubt he would leave.

Ballard would be good but would have plenty of other takers.

Nino pls

I would rather not bring in experienced players from other clubs. The only group I would look at is that 23-26 which are gaps on the list.

you absolutely need experienced guys,

give nino his account back @patrick_bombers

Marshall, mature ruck to mentor HVH and protect the young mids.

Ballard Ridley replacement and KPD obvious need.

Jones indigenous small forward to replace Gresham.

Walter to give Caddy and May a stable mate. Unless we think we have a chance at snaring Logan Morris when he is out of contract looking for a return to Vic

Sidebottom for me, he loves a payday and I’d tell him don’t leave the goal square. Want that shiny bald head kicking goals from the goal line all game long

So right now we have 1, 19, 55 in the draft.

Merrett to hawks 2 x firsts or first and 2 seconds, hawks have 15, 25, 30 ish. Maybe try throw in next year second or something too.

Ridley to Lions for what’s going to have to be a first given their second will be so far back. So let’s say 18.

Parish to Geelong, Pies or GCS. One of their firsts and maybe a 2027 second. So say cats pick 17ish

I would add Langford in too, but might be better to wait and offload him to Tassie.

Assistance package of end of first round, 19, 4 rookie spots, pre selection of Justice and Bewick.

We bid on Cocrane and get 19 pushing end of first round back and soaking up two first picks to one. Blues same for walker.

So we could go to the draft with (after Cochrane, Walker selection) 3, 13, 16, 19, 20, 23, 28, 55, 4 extra rookie spots and Justice and Bewick. 2027 extra second and not have to blow it on Bewick.

Extra rookie spots, I’m taking all indigenous kids.

Lots a variability in picks but sign me up. Throw in a trade with Richmond for pick 4 after academy and take first two picks HVH and Butler.

That’s a kinda realistic scenario.

That would be an amazing haul but I doubt any club is silly enough to offer us anything like that sadly

Jordan Ridley to Gold Coast for Jake Rogers.
Merrett to Hawks for pick 16 and their future 1st
Parish (if we’re lucky) to Geelong for pick 51
Tsatas to Carlton for pick 32 (GC pick)

We get end of round 1 pick as part of assistance package but must use it to trade in a player:

Trade in Rowan Marshall and pick 25 from St Kilda for that pick 19

Draft picks: 1, 16, 20, 32 and 51

Draft pick mega trade (pre-draft/trade period) - involving Richmond, Melbourne and Pies:

Give:
Essendon - picks 1 and 16
Richmond - picks 2 and F1
Melbourne - picks 13 and 14
Pies - pick 8

Get:
Essendon - picks 2 and 8
Richmond - pick 1 and 16
Melbourne - Richmond F1
Pies - pick 13 and 14

We go to the draft with 2, 8, 20, 21, 25, 32 and 51

Select Arki Butler (pick 2), Clancy Snell (pick 8), Khaled El Souki (pick 20), Jordan Knapp (pick 21), Mitch Harris (pick 25), Blake Justice - NGA (pick 32)

Net position:

Out:
Merrett, Ridley, Parish, Tsatas (traded)
Setterfield, Guelfi, Gresham, Cox, McMahon (delisted)

In:
Marshall, Rogers, Butler, Snell, El Souki, Knapp, Harris, Justice, whoever we pick with 52

Mic drop; thanks for coming…
