Trade talk - from October 2025 (Part 10)

Only gold coast would be silly enough for that

Maybe in the Fantasy Football Forum, otherwise no semblance of possibility.

I’m all for new ideas but think this is a bit of a reach for young harrison

Marshall is interesting, Cats no longer want him.
He won’t want to go to a cellar dweller. what challening club needs him.
Maybe the swans take him, if they let Amartey go.
Get a ruck forward to pair with Grundy

It looks like Hawthorn is going after everyone.

That was my concern if we refused to the trade Merrett last season. If we took the deal, Hawthorn is legitimate out of the race for some top quality players this year.

Now if Merrett still wants to go to Hawthorn, we’re gonna need to fight over the scraps…. And what’s left of their draft capital.

Marshall would be perfect for Collingwood.

Who says no?

Blues Parish
Essendon McKay

Essendon don’t bid on Walker at 1 or 2.
Reunite the Mckay brothers, could help meet the salary cap with Ridley, Parish and Merrett all leaving.
Frees up Blues salary cap to chase free agents.

Club get to roll out this photo.

Caddy gets less attention.

I’d be really curious what the club would see as the right number for Zerrett

A fair number is probably a top 10 and a top 20 pick, somewhere around there.

Suspect the club will do a Dodo and demand 2 x top 5.

I also wouldn’t have any real issue if some of the picks were in the 2027 or 28 drafts.

Ridley’s a lot harder to value given his injuries. A top 15 if fit, but he isn’t.

Can’t see anyone wanting Parish.

He turns 31 this year. I think this would be overly ambitious. If we got a top 10 pick I’d be stoked. He can just walk at the end of next season.

Maybe.

I can see a side viewing him as putting them over the top.

I wouldn’t support this in principal.

I would if we agreed to all that and then bid on Walker at pick 1 anyway

Fark Carlton.

If I’m being honest I value Merrett at a late first and a second at best. Ridley is probably a pick in the 20’s at best. Not sure about Parish’s value

So about pick 10 to 15 then. I’d be happy with 10.

Dude, Blitz can hardly contain themselves with one McKay and you want to bring in the more frustrating one. Are you trying to finish us off?

If Hawthorn is after Humphreys and a couple of other players…. Do you think we’re going to get a first round pick?

Maybe.

Maybe they will both play better in the same team.

I think this is unlikely. I also don’t think the Blues would trade him under any circumstances after losing Curnow last year.

Crisp will break his hand signing the contract.

I think Crisp met a trigger clause for a new deal at Pies.

Merrett is worth a top 10. He is elite and would excel with any contender and win games for them with contending list behind him.
