Langford, Clarke and Mutch as much as I’m hoping they will make good AFL footballers haven’t played a lot to date and having Wallis will add some handy depth.
His stats are on par with Smith this season minus the extra 3 tackles per game.
Smith and Wallis on raw stats are similar but Smith kicks it more and has higher meters gained which makes him far more effective.
Wallis handballs a lot.
Smith also brings a lot of heat with his pressure game.
Wallis could add depth but I’m not sure he would want to play at our club unless he knew he was going to be played consistently.

He would arguably be our second best mid if not first and is classy.
Would improve us straight away.

Just draft a Guelfi from each of the state leagues. 3 hard at it guys for low draft picks is going to be better value than 1 player that costs in terms of both $ and picks.

We’d be selling it to him as if he’s 22 and hopefully he plays well and is best 22. I’m assuming zaka will be out for a few weeks at least and Wallis’ depth would be very handy.
Gaff would be my target number 1 at this stage as we wouldn’t have to give up our first round pick and Wallis would be a bonus prize.

Just one mid-low first rounder not enough value on the compo front, will want to force a trade especially when so many clubs after him.
It will be interesting how having two free agents (McGovern) coming out of contract at the same time will play out.
Both will be expecting big pay rises.
Ideally they would like to sign one before the season is out so then they can go to work on the next.
I still think Gaff is gettable if you offer stupid money.
No way we need a one way runner like Gaff in our team - blitz already bemoans the fact that we don’t have enough players that run both ways
