When does 2026 trade period start?

I take it more as a sign that he’s not best 22 in defence any more and may not even be next in line.
I take that as a good sign.
I very much doubt he’d be anything more than depth forward either.

Only way to get people back on board for the season is to put a good performance against Geelong.

Doesn’t even have to be a win just a fair dinkum crack all game where we go down say by a goal or 2 but If we dish up the same garbage then fans are going to come out in droves to criticize media too.

There will be no hiding if we put in a bad performance

one of my proudest moments ever at the footy was when we gave our boys a standing ovation when our replacements during the player bans nearly beat norf.

I cannot express how unenthused I am about lav playing forward. We tried that for a good 5-6 years and it was basically career over. He’s proven that he’s no good at it. If he’s no good, have him in the VFL improve his defensive craft and he can put pressure on rids/ reid/ hepp to keep their spot

This club is rancid

I think trying Lav forward is a good move if we’re ‘stacked’ down back.

When he last played as a forward he was still trying to establish himself in team and didnt have the belief or confidence.

He’s got both now so it’ll be really interesting to see how he’ll go having a second crack at it.

Him crashing a pack, taking out defenders would be a sight to behold.

It wasn’t that he was no good at it. It was he always got injured doing it.

The problem is we have been traumatised by too may false dawns, we had a good start last year only for our form and some key players to fall off a cliff.

With our new players, we have to give Brad a chance to work out all over again who our best 23 is and getting them to play as a team, and don’t expect a decent performance while that is happening.

Against the Saints, not even good players played well, and average players didn’t even play average, and we know they can be better than that. We shouldn’t get too worried. We weren’t even trying to fire on all cylinders against the Saints, so they were always going to pick us apart. It was only practice at least.

I hope we see a bit more against Geelong though. All we really need is to see is progression this year, and then we can start to believe.

Against the Saints was ground zero for 2024 - hopefully it can only get better.

No, he was ■■■■. Can’t mark, no defensive pressure, poor set shot kick.

I’m trying to remember Lav kicking “bags” of goals. I think this is a myth.

This will be a miracle if our new L&L is Langford&Laverde

Hard to play well when you’re always injured. Oh well, when I heard he was playing forward I thought of this.
