I’ve been abit critical of Nino’s criticism towards our recruitment obsession with drafting skinny players (especially KPP).
I know Nino is more impatient about players who are physically ready to play AFL straight away.
But perhaps there is some merit in our selection of skinny KPP, and their lack physical ability to handle a fulltime program. And it goes all the way back to Gumbleton, even Hooker was having significant problems with his back and hamstrings early on.
Yes young talls get stress related injuries. You just have to ride it out while they are young and once they get to 23-24yo you will have a talented player in starting their prime part of their careers
