Interesting to read that Langford did so well playing predominantly as an inside mid. Iāve always thought that heād be a far better winger/half-forward type and - based on the little Iāve seen this year - it looked like he was set for more of an outside role.
Either way, great to see that he hopefully looks set to improve again this season.
To me watching him in the VFL he played the inside mid role really well, was usually when he backed himself in and didnāt worry too much about anyone else. Looked the opposite when doing that at AFL level.
Langford with self belief would become a very dangerous AFL player, he has the tools to be a game changer.
This is probably a silly question but Iāll ask anyway - are you noticing a big difference in interaction with the coaches now that Truck is taking a lead on things?
Only asking as the training reports had Truck as getting vocal when players werenāt adhering to the structure/set up. Which I thought was interesting as I hadnāt heard that happening last seasoning during training drills.
Apart from a few eye catching quarters, he didnāt do a lot prior to his knee. Jake Long could look at him and say what has he done that I havenāt to retain his spot!
