Yes Caracella and Truck appear to be the 2 in charge, with Woosha often overseeing from the side
To be honest Woosha from my vision is hardly involved at all in sessions. I assume he does have more a voice in pre meetings to training. But that was the Truck lead show with Caracella and Kelly prominent
I agree. I think he has real talent and he should be allowed to develop with consistent games. With no reserves he cannot develop sitting on the sidelines.
this is like when people reverse Google things to confirm something they would like to be true.
Have been on Ridley bandwagon since we drafted him.
Just a natural footballer and you can see he really loves the game with a cool calm head
Young sean wellman
Langford always looks good during preseason and even at VFL level as an inside mid.
He struggles to translate it to the seniors, however.
Langford is getting better each year. People forget. He is only 23. He is great overhead, accurate kick for goal, big body, he will peak in 2024 and you all are going to love him.
Hopefully this year we’ll see a new Dyle Longfark.
everyone is seeing what they want to see, with Kyle.
Dang this post could be about any list clogger we have had over the past 20 odd years
I literally only want 1 more thing from Langers and that is a greater sustained intensity.
If he can bring that, than he will be more than just a handy footballer.
If he cant then he should and will struggle to get games because the modern game is all about pressure.
Im backing him in though.
Yes, but I have never been a fan of Langers. Never been on his bandwagon. But now I believe.
Now that’s just hamming it up, Boot!!
No wonder the the training looked so good then
Shortened quarter will really suit his style of play. He will shine.
Thank the old gods & the new that the game we all love is back.
Awesome reports Nackers & Cjohns. What a privilege it is to have this opportunity to read about the club we love with so much detail and inspiration! You have again lit up a flame that burns so bright with red & black passion & blood. Thank you very very much to the both of you.
After reading the reports I get the feeling that our list, despite no Joe D prominence is actually in pretty good shape and I get a feeling that we can with a bit of luck make a real fist of this year - who knows where we can end up.
I reckon that we have more match winners on the list this year ready to create havoc and create match ups nightmares for our opposition than previous years.
Strings is still the number one, but we have added two more match winners in Towny & Cutler to add to the likes of Tippa, Smith ( new for 2020 Smack, Hooker, Sheil & Mcgrath can all be pure match winners.
Heppell’s return to fitness is essential to our chances more wonderful news. Both his leadership & his skills & impact on the game have long been forgotten. He will be helped out this year by a whole host of bigger bodied players - Strings, Cutler, Townsend Langford Shiel etc.
I can’t help think that if we can stick to the controlled disciplined speedy game plan that Truck & Caracella bring I see no issue in having a forward line based on a strong marking Smack & Strings along with Hooker cameos and an occasional ruck along with Townsend & the smaller pressure forwards. Im not at all troubled by a lack of height in the forward line or having another “traditional” tall forward structure.
The likes of Towny & Strings are very hard to play against as mobile medium forwards. Towny is uncanny as a marking player & not enough credit is given by people here or externally out of the club to his ability to use his body to out mark his opponent. ( Laverde should IMO try to emulate everything he does or leave the club).
Couple Smack, Strings & Towny with Tippa, Smith, Snelling and we have a good forward line.
Disagree we can’t play all of Ridley, Hooker, Hurley, Ambrose & Francis in the same team.
Hooker can play forward, Ridley can play on a flank in need and Ambrose can play as a stopper in the centre in need.
Is Zahrakis still an automatic selection or can Ham break into the team ? Cutler is a lock for mine and certainly an upgrade on Zaharakis in every way.
he’s had a odd career to date. his first 50 games were as underwhelming as i can remember, constantly in and out. arguably went backwards last season after a good finish to 2018 where it really looked like he was going to take off. he’s really done very little. i blame the coaches a fair chunk though, when we were giving a absolutely cooked Myers games before him, well that was a joke. he should have played more senior games than he has, and he’s been unfairly dropped before imo
he’s turned the corner now though i think, and there is a good player there who i rate and he’s pretty much entrenched in the 22 now
but it’s been a slow burn, he’s played a fair bit of ordinary footy. but it’ll be worth it with him, and he now looks a player. but most of the critisism he’s ever had on him has been fair enough imo
Strings is still the number one,
What’s wrong with Jakey, Package or Packo?

Not orchestral enough?
