Binge watched it in one night and totally loved it. How good is Michael Theo though? Loved him in Love On The Spectrum and in Austin he’s just fantastic.

It was far from the best Tom Wolfe. He’s good at creating some vivid characters, but in the end you wonder what it all adds up to.

How long/how many eps? I have a flight to Darwin in a few weeks, so could be a good one for that.
Finished watching a show called broadchurch. Absolutely fantastic, didn’t pick any of the killers in any of the seasons. DI Hardy is now in my top 10 tv characters of all time
I discovered it after watching a show called Gracepoint( turns out it was an American remake of the English one)
I love a slow burn who dunnit murder mystery. And this was the best I have seen

8 half hour episodes on ABC iView. An easy binge. Time flies as you’re watching it because it’s so good.

Good call even though Broadchurch did run out of puff a little by the end of S3. The original S1 is still one of the best.
I still believe the Gracepoint ending is where Broadchurch S1 could’ve/should’ve gone.

The Depp v Heard mini series dropped into Netflix. A cringing but fascinating series it being viewed through the lens of TikTok. We all know the story.
But makes you realise how very different a route can be for the truth to out. An open courtroom allowing many evidences for a defamation case (disallowed previously in that UK libel case, labelling JD a wife beater). as was the case in Virginia. Shone a very different light into that car crash of a relationship… whew.
The last season of cobra Kai starts on July 18.

We’ve just finished binging the Netflix series One Day over the last couple of days (one season only, 14 shortish episodes) … and despite it really not being a genre that appeals to me, it is probably the best Netflix series I’ve watched.
I’m a big softie and was reaching for the tissues in the last couple of episodes but highly recommended. Wow.

What channel is Broadchurch on?
finished the mini series last night, ending was a bit meh.
decent story line, Penny was a bit of a nutter, but maybe vindicated in the end, but not able to tell anyone. Would actually have liked to see a follow up episode with the fallout, but can also see why they ended it where they did.

Seen a few comments along this line. Curious to know what a “better” ending would be. Personally I found it quite realistic given the scenario.
yeh its hard to know In the moment was wanting them to save Phil so Tom wasn’t a murderer, but yeh given what happened would want a follow up episode to look at consequences of death, would penny be investigated given her vendetta, and she told others at party she was going to look for him and Tom, How does Grace deal with Phil’s death, who talks at funeral. Grace likely has him on pedestal. Does Penny rebuild relationship with Grace, does Grace still head overseas with walt as planned?
