I just thought the whole thing was a gigantic cop-out. Iâm not even vaguely swayed that Philâs notes to Tom in his book meant anything, and not convinced that Penny didnât put the idea into Tomâs head.
I would have been happier if it was shown that Penny was just a psycho who hated Phil with an irrational hatred.

Dark Matter Apple TV, not bad, based on Blake Crouch book, he of Wayward Pines. Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connolly, worth a peep

Finished watching it last night.
Loved it. Itâs such a simple premise executed really well. No huge unexpected twists or turns. Just really well written and acted.
Michael Theo was fantastic. Sally Phillips and Ben Miller seem to have a really natural chemistry, too.

Outer Ranges S2 Apple TV, very odd show just getting odder, but enjoyably so. Great cast, writers are on peyote and so are the crew but itâs good grade stuff.
I started this Apple TV offering Land of Women with Eva Longoria last night. It starts in NYC with Evaâs husband in the hole for $15m to money lenders, and Eva id forced to leg it with her mother and daughter. Her mother is veteran Spanish actress, Carmen Maura, who played P Cruzâs âdeadâ mother in Volver.
Eva decides to head to her motherâs home town in Cataluña.
From then on, most of the language is Spanish or Catalan, and lacks the âstark realismâ of Spanish drama and descends into Hollywood mush and I gave up. Wearing high heels in country Spanish lanes is just that step too far.

Just finished the limited series A Man in Full.
Plenty of characters to hate but it is a quality cast with a very fine performance by Jeff Daniels. (Scarily similar to someone else we know). Certainly worth watching. Netflix.
Iâd have to re watch the last episode but I didnât think there was any scenario possible apart from the obvious one.
Episode 4 of HOTD is absolutely elite!

Have watched first 3 episodes of austin, pretty good so far.
have also started watching There she goes (Uk show about a familyâs daily struggles living with an autistic child) Has David Tennant as the dad.
