Loved ‘The Residence’. Quirky, funny whodunnit (8 eps) set in the White House with great cast, including a few Aussies in cameos.
Just finished a four-parter From Darkness on Britbox. It is…very dark.
Watching bad thoughts on Netflix.
Talk about dark stupid humour!

Pleased to hear it picked up. I’m stuck on episode 3 (number 5 on your list). Eps 2 and 3 are no good.
I didn’t mind episode three, but as a sadder but less intense version of San Junipero it lacked a little substance.
I actively did not like episode 2. It could have been a more interesting concept but ending up with a Deus Ex Machina device killed any possible message it could have had.
Still a better season than the one which preceded it.
Common People felt like peak Black Mirror to me, british black mirror.
Eugoogology was 2nd best for me, the hotel one was the worst episode maybe of the entire series. Lasted 20 minutes before my missus begged to skip it, I happily obliged.
Paul Giamatti elevates Eugoo, whilst two of the leads in Hotel drag it down like an anchor.

Interesting, I thought the old-timey actress was very good. But I felt the episode was otherwise carried by the excellent job they did recreating the atmosphere of a 1940s flick, and was dragged down by a shallow, repeated concept and a bloated run time.

I meant Awfulfina and the black actress. They were terrible. They did nail the 40’s aesthetic, and the old timey actress was great. Felt like she came right from the 40’s. We weren’t going to subject ourselves to 90 minutes (!!!) of the other two though.

Oh yeah, they were. Awkwafina is only capable of being Awkwafina, and Issa Rae was well below her usual standards.

Agree with this, Emma Corrin was great, the production was nice, rest was like a team of amateurs trying to catch a spark of San Junipero after smashing the bottle and getting fried by the lightning. Atrocious by the BM standards, you can never go back. Although i did have fun with the Callister sequel.

Fourth series of Long Way…, the motorcycle travels of Ewen McGregor and Charlie Boorman…has dropped on Apple TV.
They’re starting at Ewen’s joint in Scotland and ending at Charlie’s place in Surrey, but going right across Europe on the way.
They had some video of Charlie’s last mishap, and he copped it pretty bad. The bruises on the torso were enough to damage your digestion and arms and legs were even worse.
