TV show thread (2022-?)

Been watching Fisk on ABC. Quite enjoyable little comedy with Kitty Flanagan as Helen Tudor-Fisk. Also has Marty Sheargold as Ray Gruber and Julia Zemiro as Roz Gruber. Set in Gruber and Associates law firm who specialise in probate and wills.

In Errol St, North Melbourneā€¦one of those old Melbourne streets with the fancy wrought-iron awnings. Also with Aaron Chen as George, the receptionist.

Lots of well-known Aussie comedians have guest roles, eg Glenn Robbins as a guy who paints with the old fella.

Watched the walking dead finale after finally giving up on it a few episodes after Negans introduction. The finale sucked, I had no idea they were doing so many spin-offs

So it wasnā€™t really a finale at all.

Ugh,so many of them are really bad actors. And the dialogue has only gotten worse

After watching seasons 3-5 of the Simpsonā€™s, Heff11 at dinner said to Heff9, who was going for his third serving of dinner, "tis no man, tis a remorseless eating machine.ā€™

I was choked up with pride. The kids are going to turn out ok.

A waiter gave me the wrong cutlery the other day. Called him back and pointed that heā€™d given me a spoon instead of a knife. He apologised profusely.

When he came back I pointed out that this was the perfect moment to drop the ā€œI see youā€™ve played knifey spooney beforeā€ line. The guy was devastated that heā€™d missed such an epic moment.

Roger that.

My young bloke knows anything up to season 8 is gospel, and can be applied to almost any daily situation.

Criteria to join my team is a functional understanding of the Simpsonā€™s, extra marks for seasons 1-8. Full marks for directly quoting in written or oral presentation seasons 3-5.

Yep.

It lost me after season 8. When we were in lockdown and doing lesson programs for the kids from home, I demonstrated a lot of lifeā€™s lessons could be learnt through some episodes.

Not saying it was implemented as part of any plan, but I tried.

Seasons 9-12 arenā€™t as good as 3-8, but they still have some absolute classics in there.

finally got to binge through all seasons of ā€œthe 100ā€, itā€™s a fair effort, a lot of episodes.

worth it if you havenā€™t seen it, goes in many directions, worth watching to the end to see how the show and itā€™s characters transforms over that sort of time journey, could have ended better, could have ended a lot worse, but it got to end of itā€™s narrative without being cancelled, which is more than what happened for the last two shows i binged. (Dark Matter, The Wilds)

Time to give Farscape a try.
