Physical 100 on Netflix. Korean reality show - take 100 beasty humans from different disciplines and with different physiques and put them through a bunch of challenges to see who comes out on top.

Made so much better by the fact they went all out with the casting and got genuinely elite Korean athletes - gold medallist, other Olympians, current and former sporting champs, MMA fighters, bodybuilders, strongmen, etc and then others like dancers, YouTubers, CrossFitters, firefighters, etc.

Netflix annoyingly releasing 2 eps at a time. First 4 are out. Good thing is, if you don’t like the first ep, you can safely tap out.

I watched that way back, thought it might be a bit trashy at first, and it is, but good trashy. Develops nicely, pretty solid entertainment with a few shades of grey in the villain/hero categories. Walter Goggins made his career with that role and Timothy Oliphant is pretty much Seth Bullock from Deadwood in the modern day American South. And our own brilliant Damon Herriman as well, it’s a pretty great cast all round. Banshee is another one that’s quite similar, maybe a bit darker and less refined but a pretty enjoyable violent drama sort of thing - also launched the US career of the NZ actor who plays Homelander in The Boys. Got his psycho chops up in that one.

I’d say Walt Goggins made his career in The Shield.

Wow For All Mankind really has flown under the radar for a while because I’d never heard of it till I got Apple TV and checked it out on a whim.

Really excellent TV viewing, the whole household is hooked, show has something for everyone apparently.

That and Last of Us, real popcorn, big speakers lights down sort of shows.

I really think kids of this generation will never know what life was like before we had 10 movies in a row television content

Each episode I watch lately I feel like would have been a movie i’d pay $20 to go see in the 90’s as a teen. But now we get multiple series like this x100 across multiple platforms.

HBO started this with Rome, which still remains one of the greatest television shows and stories ever told. From everything from production quality, to acting to writing to execution. Still remains a masterpiece to this day and the one I think that started it all.

Cray times.

In the words of Maxwell Smart, “I liked it so much, l saw it once!” (One day l will fish it out, to watch again.)
You are not wrong about it being one of the very best TV series, still my top 5 favourite series.

So taskmaster Australia is about to start, is this meant to be the same format as the (highly praised) UK The one?

Why’s that?

Same format, probably half as funny.

Nextflix cracking down on password sharing

Going to be hard to match the most recent UK season of Taskmaster for comedic value, thats for sure.

My sister paid for 5 shares and gave me 1, but now they look as if they require all extra profiles to be in the same house (IP Address).

She was dumping it because they gave Harry and Meghan $100m, so I was prepared for it. I’ll continue on my own behalf because they have so much good foreign language stuff.
