I watched the first ep the other night and found it pretty B-grade. But it’s been raved about in here so I’ll keep going.

Sorry, which link? The most clicked link in the first post is to a youtube channel and it doesn’t work.

Please stick around for the second last episode of The Bear. Close to perfection.

It’s a slow burn.

I rate it near the top of my all-time list, but I don’t think I felt that way 2-3 eps in.

Season 2 is probably the best season of TV I’ve ever seen.

Cool, I’ll keep going.

Plus season 3 is in Melbourne for a bit.

If such a thing interests you, I’d recommend the Bald Move ā€˜Following the Leftovers’ podcast as a companion to it. They go deep.

oh sht ozmartian got got

the user mistorc has a bunch of episodes up. series need to be watched in order as the points (and jokes) accumulate week-to-week.

if you just want to see what the show is about watch the new years treat episode. that’s just a one-off with celebrities who aren’t comedians.

mo farrah is a lovely person

Did anyone watch TaskmasterAu? The shorts looked very uninspiring and Tom Gleeson annoys me. Think I’ll give it a miss but this thread has swayed me before.

I can’t do it.

I love the show so much but Tom Gleeson isn’t fit to clean Greg Davies’ shoes.

The NZ version has had some great contestants but the show struggles without a strong taskmaster (and the kiwi one suuuuuuuucks).

a general rule with any remake of tv or movie is that if you go in ready to compare it to the original from the outset you’re going to have a bad time

ā€œjeremy wells is no greg daviesā€ yeah no fkn sht. and if you instead had ben boyce doing a poor impression of greg davies that would be significantly worse

i remember nz series 1 being shaky as all hell for the first 2-3 eps, and then we got series 2. so for that reason alone i’ll invest in the aus one.

-edit- one shot i will take at the first aus ep is that the editing was really bad. but again, it should improve.

-edit2- also with the aus comedy scene being the way it is we’re always going to have ordinary contestants compared to uk and nz but that’s a whole different rant for another thread one day

same crew as the NZ one making the Aus one for those playing at home

So…how much ā€˜horror’ is in Last of Us? Keen to watch it but Mrs Grenvold isn’t so sure!? It describes it as having violence and horror

I"m a wimp, and I’ve had to look away at times, but generally I’m coping

edit - when I say I"m a wimp, sometimes X-Files was too scary for me, if that is a guide!
